OTT SETTING hierarchy for 3rd gen Tacoma's

Hello, does anyone know all the different OTT settings for 3rd gen Taco's?
It would be nice to know what each OTT setting is best suited for.
I cannot find anything listed on the OTT site.

I'd like to know the hierarchy of OTT tune from lowest setting to highest in drive.
Also the lowest tune setting to the highest in ECT.

I currently have Lite(drive) and mild for (ECT)

Lite, mild, medium, and spicy if I remember correctly. I went with lite, and medium on ect.

 

Thank you I don't know why I thought there were more settings. I guess I need to go with Lite and Lite for ECT. I cannot believe how much OTT improved the daily driving experience. So happy with it.

 

There is also race that comes after spicy

Lite Minus - Lite ECT (Lightest Throttle) - More than stock
Lite - Mild ECT (A bit more than Lite Minus-Lite)
Mild - Medium (A bit more than Lite-Mild)
Medium -Spicy (More than Mild-Medium)

90% of guys settle on LITE - MILD or Mild - Medium


The throttle setting name next to ECT is the throttle response when ECT is engaged... Example - LITE - MILD ECT (Means you have LITE when in Drive mode and MILD when in ECT)

The ECT Button Settings are a great Tow/Haul or SPORT Setting that provides higher shift points and also is quicker to downshift to keep the truck in the torque curve.

I settled for Lite Minus. the others were just too sensitive for me with 4.88 gearing.

 

Our standard throttle settings as part of our base files for the 3G Auto vehicles consist of the following:

Lite Minus - Lite ECT
Lite - Mild ECT
Mild - Medium ECT
Medium - Spicy ECT
Spicy - Super Spicy ECT

We have a "Race" setting above SS, but it's so rarely used/requested that we do not build it in our base files. That said, we can mix/match the settings if the client requires. I'd ask that you communicate that need/desire ahead of your appointment to ensure you have the file you need available at the time of your appointment, as the alternate settings are custom.

3G Manual settings are:

Lite Minus
Lite
Mild
Medium
Spicy
Super Spicy

We also have a "Race" setting, as mentioned above.

Wow, thank you for listening all the scenarios! I really wish they'd give this break down on the OTT site.

 

I told Paul at PNW Tuning that I just wanted improved drivability with an eye on towing a one-car aluminum car trailer with a variety of cars. What he gave me is simply amazing.

 

What setting did you end up with?

 

Mild/medium, as I recall. After several months of driving, the only minor negative to the tune, if you could quantify it as a negative, is a touchy throttle response from an idle. Was easy to adjust my driving style to compensate to the point I no longer even notice it.

 

Is your truck basically stock?

 

Yessir! Only other addition is a Redarc trailer brake controller. Truck currently has 1930 miles on it.
