i put a post up before and it seemed like it was fixed but it’s back so i’m hoping someone sees and it’s familiar

19 tacoma v6 44k miles. recently had it flashed with OTT tune and i’ve been hearing this noise intermittently since.

first time it happened was ride home after flashing the truck. hour of 60+ highway. so running warm. truck sat a day and then i didn’t hear it again. someone suggested spark knock and i was running regular so i switch to a tank of premium.

haven’t heard the sound for a week and now i just got off the highway and its the first hotter day and the sound is back.

its only on pressing the pedal. everytime i set up time to drop into a mechanic the sound is gone so i haven’t had much luck haven’t shops check it either.

no codes. according to the guy who did the tune he’s never seen this ever. i asked if premium was required after the tune but ive heard nothing else from him either. so im just stuck feeling like this things going bite it any ride now

Idler puller or serpentine belt tensioner.
Personally, I would change pulleys, tensioner and belt

awesome thanks everyone. i’ll dig into that. the first time i posted i think it being loud on the video made everyone point me towards exhaust manifold leak, gas and plugs, and drop in oil pressure but none of those panned out.

    pulleys next. thanks again
