x2 to above post. Laws are here for us all. The reason for noise violations are simple. The Law Enforcement Officer pulled you over because your tunes were to loud for your own safety and the safety of others on the roads. Let's say your tooling down the road and jamming out, all of a sudden your upside down on your truck lid. Why you ask? Because you did not hear the firetruck that just plowed you. SOmething to think about! No need to insult the Law community. One day a Officer may save youyr butt. My 2 cents worth.

Yup everyday, even right now. I guess some of us aren't deaf.

Think it like this if it can be heard 25 ft away. That means you can't hear an emergency vehicle coming at all or a car running away from the cops or a run away truck., well until it plows into you but you'd probably be dead on the spot.

You're right. I might need an officer to save my butt one day, but too bad for me because he'll be busy writing some law abiding citizen a ticket for a silly sound ordinance violation.

Obviously, if they are violating the noise ordinance, they are not law abiding.

Actually, I am not dodging anything. The law is there for a reason. Who is to say what laws should and should not be enforced? You think that loud music coming from a vehicle is no big deal, but I disagree. I been in several situations where I was exposed to disturbing levels of noise in public and did not appreciate it. It is my quality of life that is negatively affected when your music interrupts my conversation, or rest, or personal space.

You live in the south you can legal defend your life with lethal force. Or what not. It's not like you live in California like me.

How dare your highly important life or death conversation be postponed for a few seconds while some guy/girl drives by with their music up. . . Harsh quality of life right there.
