Hello this is my first post. I'm not an off roader. I drive out to a piece of land which has been flooded for a while. I had to drive through about 150 yards of water in a 23 DCLB. I wanted to know what maintenance I should be doing after going in water? I did not have the rear diff mod and I'm doing that now. I'm changing the rear diff fluid, front diff fluid, and transfer case fluid. I'm wondering what I may be missing in post water maintenance? I went very slow and did not splash in the water. The highest it got was to the bottom of my oem tube running boards. Most of the water was only halfway to the running boards. What risks am I bringing onto the vehicle by doing this? I'm attaching a link to my post on reddit with the video. Thank you in advance.

Personally I wouldn't be worried. Change the diff fluids and move on. I wouldn't bother with th transfer case unless the fluid is old and needs changed anyways.

I've driven through water in my jeep on the Rubicon trail that was 12" over my frame with no issues. Sure the Tacoma engineers designed these rigs to at least traverse 16" of water.

You may also want to check your rear drum brakes. Depends on how deep and how long you went, big possibility of you toasting it. Ask me how I know.

As mentioned about brake drums ... drums/parking-brake can lock (cold climates especially) if you do not intentionally *slightly* overheat them and bake all the water out. Deep winter more than May usually, but not nice to find your truck needs much "convincing" to unlock rear brakes.

Watching your video...I wouldn't even bother with the diffs etc.

I did this crossing multiple times in the past year and when I did my 30k diffs, tcase, and transmission, there was no sign of water in any of them.

Check the transfer case actuator for signs of water intrusion. The vent tube often comes off or is cracked

You're 100% fine, dont worry about it! Sounds like you're taking the right steps and going above and beyond with maintenance. People beat the crap out of these trucks for 100k miles and they're fine. It was designed for this and it can take it!

My advice; drive through it again! These trucks are not made from paper, they can handle a little abuse.

    Yep.

I drove through this twice in one day:
    IMG_0144.jpg
Was quite an interesting experience to say the least :) I don’t recommend this to anyone.

At the time had 31” tires and 2” lift. Stock breathers. Checked my rear diff and it’s fine. No issues since

I had my drums seize for the first time this winter. I backed off the shoes just a hair and no issues since. Parking brake tight at 2 clicks.
