Maybe the SR5 Trim Level will since they gave basically no info on it yet.

Got to stop thinking of it as a Prius Hybrid and more as a performance hybrid.

I am tempted to wait but I don’t think I will be able to once the Tacoma Pro is released. I have been chomping at the bit and have almost taken delivery of an optioned out OffRoad a couple times now. I bet it will be close to 2026 before 4 Runner Pro is available. Hope I’m wrong.

5th gen’s had atrocious MPG. The 4.0 was a great engine but getting worse mpg than a Tahoe was just unacceptable. I’m hoping for better than 23 but we shall see

    Have you heard of parallax?

That’ll be nice. Only thing close was the 2016 Quicksand Tundra and T4R pros. People wanted a quicksand pro for awhile. Close enough.

You beat me to it. Was gonna say the exact same. The quicksand pro runner/Tundy was what made me make the move from my 2nd to the 3rd gen.

If Toyota keeps up with their color carryover I’ll likely be moving from my quicksand to a non-Pro mud slide colored (insert undecided Toyota model here).

the struggle is real!! I have gotten by without a truck for the last 5 years and now I am thinking I will still get by with a 4runner.

    A 4R and 6-8ft trailer sounds like a really great option…

I purposely highlighted the area of reference from moving the seat.

See the daylight between his head, B pillar and grab handle?

    seat back.png

See the headrest in relation to the B pillar?

    seat forward.png

I did not switch perspectives when showing the seat position change as your example does. Just the one.

Watch the video from about 13:30 to 13:50 and you can see it clearly. Also watch him struggle to get out with the driver's seat forward. This is just a marketing video and is maximised as such.

That sure looks like just parallax on the same position to me. Especially depending on camera positioning/zoom

Check his head to the grab handle on the ceiling. Watch him get out of the truck in the video.

Zoom would make the B pillar and headrest further apart, not closer.

He has the seat somewhat forward. He never says the seat is all the way back.

Roman is 6'3" and says the seat is all the way back. If I put the seat all the way back on my '14, it would look just like this TFL shot.

But TFL may be shilling for Toyota to get back in their good graces after the front diff issue on the Tacoma.

I never said the seat was all the way back either? Maybe I did?

I am just saying they moved the seat between takes for marketing and video purposes. I'm not shitting on the 4runner, just youtube shills from that one particular video.

I see nothing wrong in the TFL pic, first I have seen it.

The guys in the first video had zero negative comments about the new 4R. A clear indication they have a very good relationship with Toyota that they want to keep. That said, the new 4R while not perfect looks promising.

Overland X or whatever, yeah, they sniff Toyota farts for a living. They have been in all the Trailhunter videos so far for the Tacoma.

Which is why I was commenting on not trusting their videos for a second. I will wait for real world feedback.

I wouldn't expect the guys in the first video (x-overland) to say anything bad about any Toyota right now considering they were given a Tacoma trail hunter to use for that past few months. They do have a lot of time with 4-runners...I fully expect them to put the new one thru it's paces soon.
