Lmao yeah the model has some issues, but this was from a guy on here that made it using just an app on his iPhone. Works good enough for screwing around with the camper concepts haha

 

Crazy how powerful such apps have become

 

Mine came out slightly better, didn’t want to deal with taking the shell off for a scan to build a camper with though.
Biggest issue is getting a good angle on the hood and roof, hence the massive holes. Glass is just a hole too

 

That 3D model is haggard haha.

 

Initial review done on the 5th, and now on the 10th they've already pushed to either an in-person exam request or skipping passed it.

All I know is it's moving forward way faster than expected

I remember the last time I was x-rayed it caused a group to gather

 

Haven't even seen the movie but fuck this was great

 

but will it make it the distance? No one was more surprised than me that it did the stuff we did with zero drama. I thought we would see some cracks in its abilities... and I didn't find them other than the annoying transmission.

 

The only cracks that appeared were in the bodywork.

 

Speaking of cracks, what's up with your rocker panel on the ladder side?

 

Yeah that part sucks. That's obviously something that started before my ownership.

Years of corrosion. I knew something was back there but it wasn't till the trip it rotted through. It sucks because the ladder is there. Haven't looked too much closer at it, but going to save up to have it repaired at some point.

 

Again, awesome for keeping the bugs down but fuck do they always get into the garage whenever I open the door

That sucks dude! I could replace the sheetmetal for you, but I couldn't do more than knock down the seam and primer it, my painting is shit, but that's an easy section of panel to fix.

 

I think I need the lower quarter from a good van to put in there. I haven't poked around to see how bad the rot is yet

 

At least those vans are easy to come by, hopefully its just in the vicinity of the spray from the wheel.

 

I think it's rotted all the way to the corner. The water inlet is there and I suspect filled that "trough" in the body and rotted for years. When I left Boise, there wasn't a hole there.

 

Other side is still as ford designed?

 

Yeah, it doesn't have the water port and is solid hence my assumption. I could see last year a bubble under the bed liner coating and knew something was up, other side doesn't show signs. So I wasn't really surprised when it rotted out and opened up, it was a matter of time.

 

There was this one obsticle with this one protruding rock that may have 'touched' that spot. It also took out the remaining hub cap on that side too.

 

I always keep an eye out at the junkyard for some hubcaps for him, I see the alcoas sometimes but they're always without caps
