I might be flying into Spokane or Lewiston in early May for a final interview with that company in Moscow. I’m a little hesitant since the company seems to have bad reviews on Glassdoor - there’s only 4, it all are very negative, saying the managements disorganised, high turnover, poor communication, etc. The guy have been communicating with seems super cool though, and it seems like a good sign they’re going to such a big effort to fly me out there.

A company that's excited about you can be a very good thing. Also good luck flying into Lewiston from Arkansas, be a lot of puddle jumpers haha.

There’s actually only one connection in Denver surprisingly.

Yea I’m just curious if that means they’re not getting much interest from locals, or maybe I just interviewed well.

Surprised it didn't want to fly you to Boise to catch a regional flight. Maybe Lewiston has grown in the 3 weeks since I last visited lol

Moscow is a pretty small community, it's populace basically drains down to a 1/4 of what it normally is every summer because it and the town next to it(Pullman) are college towns and the kids go home. I don't think many people going to school there envision working in what is essentially a farming community surrounded by the largest winter wheat production in the US.

I looked at some google street view and it seemed really pretty around there - rolling hills and tree lined streets. The downtown seemed nice too.

Yeah it's a nice place, so is Pullman, and dropping into Lewiston from the North is one of the prettiest views in the US I think... of course once you're in Lewiston you have to get over the paper plant smell haha.

Yeah it's unfortunate placement really since the cities are in a valley... the smell never really leaves.

It's not a terrible place, some decent food. The only thing I miss from the palouse is the wicked sunsets. But after living there for 4 years I wouldn't move back haha

When the wind blows right I get a similar smell from the sugar beat factory a couple miles away from my apartment. My time in and around Lewiston has helped make me more jaded to it, and luckily it's only when the wind blows from the NW that I notice it.

@m3bassman So I've got a 15-45mm and a 55-200mm for my M5... do you think the 11-22mm would be a good addition for closer shots in low light?

Honestly you could pick up a 24mm f2.8 STM lens for $122 from B&h (used). It is what I have on my hiking camera. F2.8 is good for low light, decently wide angle, and focus in at about 6" distance. You aren't going to gain much of anything from the 15mm you have, not to mention the barrel distortion gets extreme at 10mm.

That probably is the way then, I was getting annoyed yesterday, my focus distance was fine but even with some spot lighting and decent ambient at the distance I was at I was really pushing the ISO. Glad I have the EF adapter
