My brother-in-law too. They thought they had it beat but now he's going to have to go through chemo. Our best thoughts, vibes, and wishes to him and to you.

OJ, well, I'm going to take Thumper's advice.

So far, I would think it's just a matter of time!

Do you remember schedule G, [income averaging], it was Federal and it worked, that is until they figured out it was costing them money, then they did away with it! :([/QUOTE]

    Afternoon all:

    :annoyed::goingcrazy:
    OK, here we go!
Will need a new set of tires before winter and right now Toyota has a deal for buy 3 and get 1 for $1.00 plus a $70 rebate available. I had the price figured out and figured out how to be able to submit for the rebate on the computer. Called the dealer to set up an appointment for the tires and the price quoted was well above what I figured, WOA, WOA, WOA, then he started breaking it down and 4 wheel alignment was being added on---NO, NO, NO--just the tires mounted and balanced.
Now with that charge being taken off, the price of the mounted and balanced tires is LESS than what I had come up with. o_O
The price he quoted me is anywhere from $52-$95 less than other tire dealers prices, than add the $70 rebate on to that and I should end up with anywhere from about $120-$165 less than the other places that I priced them, big chunk being the rebate and that's the main reason I'm getting them from the dealer , appointment is on the 17th, will see, hopefully the number he gave me will jive with the actual bill, but if it's the number I came up with, that will be OK also, but no more!

LOL... I'm waxing nostalgic. I remember a time when you could get a quote and count on it being what you ended up paying.

four hours at 250 degrees. If I was not trying to soften the veggies I would have cooked the frozen loaf on a SS rack. A frozen meatloaf does not lose its shape in the smoker. Today it is pork shoulder.

Good morning. Cooking a couple pork shoulders today. On the smoker at 6am. Getting a quote today for work on the Tacoma. Needs tires, shocks, cooling system flush, going to be expensive.

So sorry to read this! I will keep you in my thoughts. My father when diagnosed with pancreatic cancer years ago. They said he had three months and should get his things in order. I was retired, so drove the 1,000 miles and stayed with he and mother till he passed. He was a very religious man and stayed prayerful until the final day.
Hopefully the new meds, procedures, etc will bring you a cure. I read good things are coming if not already here.
    Keep your faith!

Another beautiful day here in the Rockies! Kettlebell day, the outside to play in the garden.

Wow, sorry about your dad, tough way to go.

Talking with my oncologists it seems I'm something of an edge case in that I am otherwise healthy and have had exactly zero symptoms of the cancer. In late June or July I'm going to go through another round of scans and may then undergo radiation treatment for the few lymph nodes which are impacted. Originally they figured I'd go Tango Uniform before I hit 70, now there is still a possibility I'll see the far side of 100; time will tell.

    "Tango uniform"... tit's up.

Which is a real thing, but to be technically accurate it doesn't apply to men.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Did the yard yesterday, some TV rebooting (we'll see), and ceiling fan troubleshooting. Sunroom fan seemed to have died sometime Tuesday. Switch is good, so.....pickup up a new one at Home Depot this morning. Guess that has been installed for over 15 years, so, OK I guess. Going to hang the fish windsock, and kill the weeds on the back of the fence. I "mowed" out there yesterday, out to where the city stops, and man it was thick.
