    Look it up,
Ton of dudes on YouTube with HMS and blitzkreig kits

    And from what I see
Those raptors are broken 99% of the time

perfect example is all the raptor run participants
But that is +2 or +3.5 kits and SUA
    Maybe 2-3 linked caged trucks
And I think ONE full kill truck

Edit: it’s OEM parts that break

double edit: make sure you go back and reread my edited post that you quoted

    Think about a Tacoma owner
    Your average Tacoma world user
    Now give him adult money

    Same problems as the taco
    Bigger budget

    Chevy isn’t any better.
    It’s just trying to make off-road go fast work with OEM or even OEM+ is always gonna break shit;
And you’re still gonna have the same sacrifices.
The only way you win is a purpose built machine with everything in its place cause you made designs to afford you everything you wanted.
Instead of your average build which is….
    “Hmm this might fit here”

    A fully built raptor
JUST SHORT OF cage and links

looks just as ridiculously stupid in the dirt as a taco
Cause unless you scoot the motor back and move all the rear weight to exactly where it needs to be
The truck still moves like a frame rail truck

I like this guy in how thorough he is. The live valve shocks video was enlightening to see how well that system works against a “built” truck.

I stumbled across him trying to find videos of the blitz 4WD Chevy kit

I have still not found any videos of it actually scooting around

The only 4x4 Chevy’s I see are usually leaf sprung with cantilever rear and a (I believe) Mazulla kit, not a blitz. I think I’ve seen 2 of them if I’m not mistaken on Dezert Trucks over the years.

    So.
If you compare nuts to bolts
Width wise and travel wise WITH 4WD
Blitz has the best kit at the best price with built CV’s out of the box

    but
My rear is already got mazzula hangers and some deavers with OEM kings
So I’ll have to unfuck that and I def plan to run the Izzy fuel cell cradle to run dual tanks

Their raptor kit to me looks odd asf from blitzkreig
But man they sell a shit ton of them

the Silverado kit looks way more traditional to me
Which is ideal since it should be simple

    https://blitzkriegoffroad.com/produ...8205254&pr_ref_pid=10655704710&pr_seq=uniform

    add these
    https://dirtking.com/collections/15-silverado/products/wilwood-aero6-dm-front-brake-kit-140-16804-d

    And then this
    https://www.izzyfab.com/product-page/jeep-speed-jazz-32-gallon-fuel-cell-cradle

    drivetrain is already built
So only thing left is a new driveshaft and MAYBE some sort of axel

I’d totally cage my daily BUT that boat might have sailed since I have enough sound deadener in my cab to make an audiophile drool

This is a good point. I have having the truck down. I’d rather it sit and me not drive it for a few months but know I can get out and rip it than have it down and not useable. It was sad 2 years ago when I was working on the back half and we got evacuated for fires. Like if the house goes the truck goes with it.

    This.

We use a Kawasaki mule on the property to move stuff around. It’s got the motor mid mount, under the bed, and that thing EATS whoops with stock suspension

Since we're on SUA, I'm currently on my SOA Midtravel set up in the rear. I put DK LT in the front and am now torn on what to do. it currently has AG shocks relocation with 12" Kings, hangars, crossbar, U402 stage 1. I am thinking about the switch but am torn. Do I do the DMZ and keep the AG shock relocation, and change shock length to 14" or 16" and call it a day, or swap whole rear end out to to a DK or JD kit. Im trying to be as cost effective as possible. Im a "go fast" desert guy but am getting old and don't want to be as beat up as I get when im out there.

No matter what the AG towers won’t work well with SUA. If you’re going to make the switch make the switch entirely. Otherwise, throw a shit load of valving at your SOA setup and see how you like it.

If I were you I would keep your AG shock relocation throw a 14'' shock under there along with DMZ sua Get some new lower mounts cycle, mount, bump, and strap accordingly. If you keep the same lower shock mounts setup for the 12" shocks and throw a 14" in there your going to limit your up travel and potentially destroy your shocks .

I would have this exact setup but I don't feel like cutting my bamf relocation off , re doing the lower shock mounts and shortening the new driveshaft thats under my truck (OG shortened one was destroyed) My truck feels great off road and is comfortable for what I do with it, for me to gain a few more inches of droop the juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

Also you will not regret going SUA the gain in up travel from ride height is night and day, don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

Gonna be extremely low shock mounts to fit a 14” and still have full uptravel with the archive towers. I suggest calling Tim at DMZ to see what he thinks.
