2023 Dblcab with 3k miles, bought used.

Truck was pulling to the right upon purchase (I purchased out of state and did not drive it prior to purchase).

Went to the Toyota dealer and the alignment was covered under warranty.

After the alignment, truck drives better but still pulls slightly to the right on the highway.IMG_20240324_141506.jpg
Before and after alignment specs attached.
Air pressures the same in all tires.

Thoughts on the alignment numbers? What needs to be changed?

    Just take it back…….

Personally, I have mine aligned at a tire store. I purchase the lifetime alignment. I get it aligned about every 30k or two years

Caster deviation is causing pull. They only set toe. Caster pulls to least and is amplified by roads crown.

I'm still dealing with the same issue. The dealership just punches in the basic stock numbers. I looked up what seems to be a good alignment shop, they even install lift kits on trucks, so it sound like they know more than a basic alignment shop. Dealerships are about unless.

Thank you, appreciate the information. The dealer told me they had their most experienced tech performing the alignment. I'll go back and tell them what to change.

It took 4hrs from drop-off for the alignment to be performed and for the vehicle to be returned. With return trip, I'm looking at 8 hours.

I called a few places and it seems Firestone and Tires Choice are both under Bridgestone. Tons of locations by my house. They offer the lifetime alignment for $210, and there is a $20 coupon on their website. Thinking of going this route rather than going back to the Stealer.

This is a classic case of why just getting the numbers in the green is useless and stupid, and why the hell can't alignment techs use their little pea brains to see this.

First off, start off by asking them to get the camber on both sides equal and as close to zero as possible. Then ask them to set the caster on the passenger side as high as it will go, which when stock, will be in the 2.75-3.0 degrees positive range, then set the driver's side about three tenth's of a degree lower, and if you're a tenth off one place or another, you'll never know it. The current toe measurements actually feel just a tick low as well. I would also want to double-check the rear measurements as it would appear, if one were to believe those numbers, that your rear axle is in crooked - just slightly, but crooked nevertheless, and that could affect how your truck drives.

As other people have already stated, the vehicle will tend to pull toward the side with the lower caster angle if you're on a flat, non-crowned road, all other factors being equal, but here all the other factors do not appear to be equal, and since those rear numbers are suspect, it's possible that it's been too long since they've recalibrated their alignment rack or they didn't get the wheel attachments on correctly.

The bigger question is why is this exact problem so damned common. Seems to be downright ubiquitous. I always think it's best to find a place that specialized in alignments and definitely not the dealers who seem to know only the difference between red and green, the most common form of color blindness in men, and definitely not any place that offers a lifetime alignment where they're always going to want to rush you through and spend as little time as possible on your alignment or it starts costing them more than they bargained for, but a real specialty store where they're going charge you $150 for the alignment, but they're going to take the time to get it right the first time and they're going to understand why and when you want some of the numbers at one end of the spec rather than the other and how all those numbers relate to each other.

If you're in the Cincinnati area it sounds like this is exactly the kind of place you want to go to, and the kind of place that fully understands why and when you want to deviate from just being in the green.

I learned most of what I know from reading books on how to make your Porsche faster during autocross, a lot of which involved suspension, alignment and tires and then having an alignment done, driving the car for a few months, then adding camber plates and racing ball joints to get more negative camber in the front of my 911, re-aligning and test driving again. And sometimes, in those situations, it could take a couple of alignments to get the car exactly where you think it should be, and that's just part of the process. It typically should not take multiple attempts to get our trucks done right, provided you go to the right shop in the first place.

Yeah they look legit, I'm thinking they'll know exactly what to do. My truck isn't horrible, but I know what it should be like and it's definitely not quite right, not dialed in enough to drive comfortably.

Latest alignment from Toyota and it still pulls right, esp on the highway. Thoughts?

    I'm running Nitto Terra Grappler G2 265 65 r18
Cross rotated the tires last evening and the truck tracks darn near straight now. Must have been a radial pull from the Nittos. Would Nitto replace a tire due to radial pull, just wondering?

Didn't see your previous post, but cross rotate would have been my suggestion from the start. You need more than 1 degree of left right caster difference to cause a pull. What would be a concern is what happened to your toe to change that much in a week. Logical question, is your steering wheel straight?

They had the LF caster at 2.7 previously and it pulled right.
Yeah, the rear appears to be slightly crooked as shown by the thrust angle around 0.3

Updated on my end, well sort of. I stopped in this shop because I was in the area, it's about 40 miles from me. They had a bunch of Porsches a Ferrari and several lifted Toyotas a couple 4Runners and Tacomas. Needless to say I was pretty comfortable making an appointment with this place, they're about 3 weeks out. They assured me they'd be able to work with me and get my truck driving the way I prefer to, even if it takes a few tries.

Update on my end - the tires were the issue, not the vehicle alignment. I had Nitto Terra Grappler G2 and the alignment shop said they were all made in the same week and they were all bad, could not be balanced. I contacted Nitto and they kept giving me the run around since I did not purchase the tires originally - even though they only had less than 2k miles on them.
I changed the tires out for Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 and the truck rides like a dream. Granted, the Michelins do not look aggressive like the Nitto's, but at this point I really do not care as long as they drive well.

I've had three alignments, still has a slight pull to the right. I'm just going to sell the truck, I'm not happy with it altogether.
