Did my install today. Had the icon add-a-leaf with the overloads still in. IMG_5523.jpg Went to the rxt option 3 and gained 1.25-1.5” in lift with my RSI smartcap. It was level with the add-a-leaf set up, but now I have some rake for the extra weight. It rides so much better.

Possibly a dumb question, but one I’ll ask anyway.

Which end of the leaf pack is the front/fixed end and which is the rear/shackled end? And are the packs side specific, drivers vs passenger?

Also does the writing on the extra leaf go on the same side as the writing on the built pack? Essentially install in the same orientation as it comes shipped?

Writing/single clamp goes backwards. Match the writing orientation when installing the extra leaf, ircc it will only fit one way because it is longer on one end.
Either leaf can be driver or passenger

A little tip to add to that, check to see if one leaf or pack is arched more than the other, then put the higher arch on the drivers side for extra weight. Same springs, doesn’t mean they’re the same. If ya know what I mean.

Do the drivers side clamp bolts go in a certain way in order for the bolts to not rub the gas tank? I thought I read that on here somewhere.

Icon RXT Leaf Pack Option #2 installed on a Tacoma SR with V6 and 4x4.

    Stock rear height: 22 inches
Leaf pack installed: 24 on driver side 24.5 on passenger side.

Front is lifted 1.1 inch from Bilstein 5100 with stock coils.

This picture is of the passenger side. I expect it to settle and this is with no weight in the bed except for the shell. Also I don’t think this ground is completely flat, I think it points down a little bit.

With the little driving I have done so far I will say the back end eats bumps and dips better than before. Also installed in the rear are the bilstein 5125.

A little high for my current liking but I’ll give it time and throw some weight at it.

Install was a little difficult not going to lie

Looks great slightly high in the back same as mine. I have your exact setup Access cab 1.1 lift stock coils in front with stage 2 with 5125's and a topper only difference is 2.7 vs 3.5 but i suspect with the iron block they are pretty similar in weight. Mine did settle a little but its very surprising how it holds weight i would have expected it to drop more than it did. I had 4-500lbs in it this past weekend pic below not including the topper and it only dropped 1/2-3/4'' i really wonder what stage 1 would look like on this setup. I may swap the 3rd leaf back to stage 1 to see what it looks like, because either the less weight of the accesscab over a double cab maybe 100-150lbs or icon downplayed their weight capacity/lift.

Please post if you end up doing that! I have the 2.7 access cab (2nd gen) with camper shell, but no lift up front. Torn between option 1 and option 2 and always looking to see how people with similar set ups fare.

Has anyone replaced the bushings on their Icon RXT leafs with polyurethane? Getting ready to install my new leafs and shocks/struts (thanks Colton!), but want to get them all sorted before install. Going to add the bicycle inner tubes to prevent noise and also have Dobinsons poly bushings to install.

The problem is that the leaf bushings on the Icons are the "two-piece" design with the flanges on both ends of the metal sleeves, so I can't just press them out (see picture). The rubber insides pressed out easily, but not sure how to handle removing the metal sleeves. Will they come out if I just hit them with an air impact hammer with sharp tip at the seam inside?

Here's a picture of what it looks like with rubber and bolt sleeve removed:

    Thanks!!

Sorry can’t answer your question but I am getting close to doing exactly what you’re about to do. I installed these springs about 6 months ago and have done everything (including the inner tubes) to silence the squeaking with no success.
Please keep us updated with your experience on this.
    Thanks

Will do, thanks! The way the bushing metal sleeve is installed, I first thought it was part of the leaf pack eye. Then, after about an hour of trying to get the Dobinsons bushings in, I realized that I hadn't removed the sleeve. I actually almost had the bushings "pressed in," but couldn't seem to get them flush with alot of force. This confused me, since I thought that poly bushings didn't need to be "pressed" in but figured maybe the Dobinsons just fit tighter. I will say that the poly bushings are pretty tough, since they don't seem to have incurred much damage from my misguided install attempt.

Anyone ever removed a leaf from this pack, if so which one? I'm at stage 1 and have more lift than I'd like (2019 DCLB with no added weight). My King 2.5 coil overs are at there max recommended height and I want to lower them a bit, but if I do I'd have way more rake.

What’s your hub to fender measurement? Definitely lower your kings IMO 21”. Leave the leaf pack alone. Rake is good IMO
