Geico will rip you off, too. I just switched from them to Progressive. Saving me $2000 per year.

Basically they all increase premiums. You have to switch every few years.

Inflation...more expensive trucks with more expensive to fix parts/electronics equals higher premiums It's happening all over. Wednesday's CPI numbers are proof

Due to a variety of factors I have pretty fantastic rates, but even mine have gone up 40%+ in the past year or so. Everything is skyrocketing everywhere, except [non-tech] wages of course.

$128 more every 6 months or annually? These days, it's a drop in the bucket.

Now that seems like a lot. Are you a newer-younger driver? How many cows have you hit?

I switched from geico at the beginning of the year when I had my 2021 Tacoma trd pro. Between both my Tacoma and my wife’s 2022 4runner it was under 2000 for the whole year with travelers. I traded in my Tacoma for a 2024 tundra and when I switched vehicles it raised to a little over 3000 for the whole year. It was about 92 extra bucks a month extra a month. Which I thought was crazy but than I realized it was still cheaper than geico was charging me for my Tacoma and 4runner. I pay the yearly premium up front which gives me a little discount and than I don’t have to worry about paying every month. One less bill each month

And the price of the 24 is how much more than your 19 is worth? Not some magical value but something like loan value.

So consider being totaled. Or a hit where electronics repair was involved.

More expensive to buy, more expensive to fix, more expensive to protect

@Thomasrd1950 and everyone else in this thread.
The quote 1 of 2 is a 2019 Camry; NOT a Tacoma. So of course a new truck will be more than a few years old Camry.

Inflation has screwed with everything. But insurance has gone up by a factor of 10 more than everything else. If you haven’t noticed this by now, you’re probably not a homeowner.

Unfortunately so much this ^^, as the repair cost was the exact reason given to me when I changed last fall. For reference, my decade old 2013 turd OR had finally crept down to 700 for a year (other car and house also with same company). Nothing else changed, and the new 23 turd OR is now at 1300 for the year. No claims ever on any house or car after 40 years, they should be paying me as a poster child lol.

Like all other forms of property insurance, home owners is dependant on may factors.

10 x is a pretty big exception, even on the water in Florida.

I went from a 2019 Ford F-150 XLT to the 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport and my premiums dropped $50 per year I'm guessing from all of the safety features on the tacoma.
