I think I have some standard length. If so they are probably still seized on the shaft though. I’ll see if I can get them free with a torch.

@Sixthelement is a manual with the kit.

I absolutely love the performance out of my custom setup but similar to your findings, mine had an absurd amount of axle wrap under acceleration. Again like yours, raising the rear of the truck 4-6” at times. My solution was an anti-wrap bar and that honestly fixed everything.

I saw in your build threat you mentioned an anti-wrap kit rather than something custom? What did you go with?

It’s a “kit” from ruff stuff but you still have to do all the fab work and build a cross bar

I came here to mention using an anti wrap bar. I knew somebody did. Couldn’t remember who.

I just question why I’m the only one noticing this. Is it more pronounced with a manual putting more power in quicker? Or is something genuinely messed up with a hanger or? I know @Sixthelement is lots heavier than I am in the rear. Is that maybe masking things a little?

My junk has over 400k and I don't think its capable of producing enough torque to create those kinds of conditions..plus I carry a crap ton of stuff while on the trail

Maybe he can chime in on if he’s ever noticed it with the setup. But last time I drove his truck it felt pretty underpowered for the weight at least taking off from a dead stop.

@906taco If I pull the spare and more to get super light. I feel the rear raise. But after the springs have settled and the rear has gone down. I dont feel it. Plus yea, through the UMP and such. The 3.5 is a dog
As for axle wrap and bounce, the only place i've felt it is when im still in 2h trying to take off in the deep soft cinders. However, its almost expected when your bogged and still at 30+psi.

I’m curious if you look at your lower rod end if it shows any indication of bottoming. How much shaft were you showing at full bump?

@snowsk8air2 Might have photos of where its bumped. I know we made a spacer but, I am also re using the 12" shocks and Archive towers. So my shock angle is different than what comes with the frame braces.

Digging through the archive of pics.
I dont have a pic of the bumps. we had to make a 1" Delrin spacer for the urethane bumps it comes with.

Looks like you have a bump pad on the shock shaft anyways. So likely isn’t going to show anything.

No time for that. After building a bulletproof steering, I want a truck that’s going to put work in. DMZ kit coming soon.

Whats your choice of shocks for the rear with the dmz kit? Or just gonna keep the 14" bypasses from JD?

His shocks have the 1/2” rubber bump spacer on them. Full bump is when that touches the shock body giving it that 1/2” of safety net.

But like he said we used the archive upper shock mount so geometry is gonna be a little different than the full jd kit
