I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination...
Around here Coopers are 'bluer' in the wing and have a darker rust-colored breast.

    According to this image... I think it's a red-tail.

The blue/orange plumage with red eyes are adult Cooper’s hawks. The juveniles have more subtle brown and white plumage with yellow eyes. The difference after first moult is pretty drastic.

Coopers have the typical accipiter build with a leaner body than a red tail, boxier head and a more defined/angular eyebrow.

Male Kestrel perching and posing for me. I've been seeing the female at this small park almost daily for the last month or two.
Today I saw a male chasing her around the park apparently a family is in the making.... more Kestrel's are a good thing.

Unedited images straight out and raw format.
First one needs to be lightened up a bit -
Both need to be 'Topazed' ...

Was in South Ga for a few days, hopefully the last time I ever go there these guys were all over the feeder.

Apologies if I shared these before - my feeble mind doesn't work so well.

A while back I was at the 'Salt' watching the horses come and go ( wild horses mind you ) and about 30 of them
made their way up into the brush. I figured I'd head back out myself when I heard a rumbling behind me...

Turned and fired off about 100 images of these 2 going at it... pretty damn cool sight to see.

The rest of the herd came running down and circled the 'action' as if watching a prize fight -
Then they all just raced into and across the river to lick their wounds I guess.

A Red Fox ran out yesterday while at a wildlife refuge. I originally thought it was trying to be opportunistic and snag a slow to fly duck or goose but in the pictures it is carrying around a rat.

Went to my go-to-location to see if the Owls have returned and apparently a squatter has taken over the nest...
The owls are still in the 'hood but in another location as the tale is told.

I went back to the scene of the crime ( previous image ) and found 2 of these guys hanging
about the nest and nearby trees. They were disturbed by pesky mocking birds and humming birds
and kept moving from branch to branch. Finally got a shot of one on a nice branch out of the twigs.

A Least Bittern chick ( almost adult) peeping through the reeds at a local riparian. There were 2 of them today.

Waited on the walking-dock for about 40 minutes waiting for a glimpse and got a few decent shots.

They live in the reeds and walk about just above waters edge waiting for snacks. They nest here yearly
and I suspect these 'babes' will fly away in another week or two.

Gambled on an Amazon “used - acceptable” condition Tamron 28-200 and got what appears to be a brand new lens for $300 off. Complete packaging to include the little manuals in their plastic wrapping, lens wrapping and even little the oxygen absorber pouch.

Any f2.8 lens is a 'good lens'. Be sure to upload a few shots.

Here’s one from each end of the lens, a 28mm/f2.8 and a 200mm/f5.6.

I haven't posted in here in a while. I went to the local race track yesterday and shot some drifting and road racing. This was my first time photographing motorsports and had a ton of fun. I found road racing to be much easier than drifting, at least when it came to panning. If I was getting paid, I would probably be more stressed out shooting a road race though haha.
