Carl, I have a 2WD Tacoma so just a front-end alignment with the tires, shocks, oil change and radiator flush.

Good Saturday morning. Yesterday's cook was a long one. We had high winds with scattered showers all day long. The smaller shoulder took 12 hours and the larger one 14 hours. Started at 6am and finished at 8pm. I have let the shoulder rest all night and will pull it when I get back from the gym this morning. Doing a lot of work around the home during the week means less to do on the weekend. ;) Here is a pic at the 12-hour mark from yesterday's cook.

LOL... one of the differences between services. Coasties experience floaters, and tits up says how a floater is laying in the water, and is gender specific.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, started out well anyway....
    • got my fan picked up, no problem
    • Found the Orange and Purple Bell peppers (and a couple more) I didn't have
    • had time for a Mod pizza and draft for lunch
    Then...
    • Got one fish on it's pole, and spent an hour + looking in the garage for the other one I had stashed.
    • When I gave up, and just ordered a new one, I found that the two pack I got was in 2022 - so the second one got used last year. So I was looking for something that wasn't going to be there
    • Took 3 hours to swap out the fans. Fired the new one up, and nothing. Well, not nothing, lights worked. But no fan. And the wife says it's ugly too. So, that's coming off the ceiling today for return.
Befoe I give up on the old one, I ordered a new controller. I remembered replacing it a couple times - naturally now discontinued. But I ordered something that should work, so be putting the old fan back tomorrow.
Three hangar trips today - wing meeting, and setup and tear down for a prom rental. We make some bucks for that. So, 12p, 4p, and 10p.

When you reach 70 the feds make you start withdrawal of your 401K money. If you were diligent at funding this account.........the tax man is waiting.

The feds also make you start withdrawing at age 72 for a traditional IRA and they dictate how much you need to withdraw without paying penalties, (RMD-required minimum distributions), a Roth IRA doesn't have the same mandates and you don't need to touch that money if you don't want or need to,

Regarding the whole 401(k) thing, if I recall correctly, there are a few exceptions to the 72 RMD rule, I just don't remember what those exceptions are. I plan on working until I'm 73, and contributing until then as well, and I believe that might be one of the exceptions. After the recession my wife and I both lost our businesses, along with pretty much everything else we had, and by 2015 we literally had combined retirement savings of about $6,000; since then I've been contributing the IRS maximum every year; my goal was to have a million in the 401(k) by 2030; given the stock market over the last few years it is pretty obvious that ain't going to happen. :(

It's now 73 if you turned 72 in 2023 or later.

I was told you can move your money to other type on investment with some tax flexibility, I am trying to explore this option too. :annoyed:

I did this today. I’ve had the border blocks stacked up in the side yard for a few years waiting for the right moment and I finally built the border around whatever this clumping palm is. Still have 4 blocks right in the front that I need to level but it got too hot by noon. Supposed to be low 60s in the morning so I’ll tackle it then.

you know, that old 2800 motor at has given me fits lately. Stuff is so rusted in place, or otherwise stubborn, it's just not happening. So, I have tried some strange things to avoid cutting and ruining parts I don't know if I can replace. Wednesday, I brought a new tool to fight a flange nut on one of the intakes. I have to have that part of the pipe loose to get another attached piece off. Anyway. I got a pipe wrench lodged in there, over the nut, and attached a breaker pipe over the wrench. I even hung off it. Nothing. So, I left a sign on it......

    20240413_171840.jpg

This is how I found my Ridgid 14" pipe wrench today........
