    Man, I've said the same thing after every black vehicle I've owned. 2004 Tahoe Z71... 2012 C6 Grand Sport... 2012 Wrangler... now the GX. I've decided it's just not worth the time/effort/loss of sanity to try and keep it clean. Not to mention the trail rash...

    Those cars have aged beautifully, I keep telling myself it would be a fun weekend toy instead of another Miata when the time comes in a few years, but the upkeep and work needed to be done on a sub-$10k first-gen Boxster is mildly terrifying. Accessing those engines is a PITA...

    Motor access is not that bad if you have a plastic window top. Those flip farther forward (when rear of top is detached) than glass window top. But...the IMS issue.. and 60K miles on a clutch is normal. When my MAF sensor went Hoffman wanted $500 for the part, Pelican was $325ish and Google search showed Bosch VW part# for $134 so DIY makes them livable. They drive nice but the 911 is another planet
