Cv axel outer boot small rip

So i slit a small cut in the cv boot its about 3 cm yall think jb weld will hold up if i put some of that on?

i ended up using rubber cement and jb weld with a bike patch and some heat to form onto the rubber boot.

Now i would like to know how i can tell a bad driver cv axel from a normal non broken one? Im looking into the yota cv reboot kit but before any id like to know if my oem one is worth fixing.

 

If it’s popping while turning it’s bad. Generally if you don’t have any issues other than grease being flung your fine. You can only really tell when it’s apart

 

Thankyou. I found a guy selling a toyota oem used axel Nd it comes with a toyota reboot kit for only 90$ i might just pick that up tm and reboot it and slap it on and reboot mine and have it ready for the next time.
