The Uhaul motorcycle trailer is absolute perfection. Heavy enough not to bounce around when it's empty, the design is so easy to use, room for gear too. It's the only trailer they don't sell used when replaced, they destroy them instead. $25 a day too, only bad part is going to Uhaul.

Agreed, the place I used to rent from was annoying to get to. Once I had the space to store it I picked up a cheap little trailer. Thanks thought the white wheels looked good too but what a pain to keep clean

Yeah they are nice I like the built in wheel chock

Went to put the battery in the bike and somewhere I lost one of the battery nuts. :annoyed:

Gotta go pick up a new nut, but closest place that has one is 40 miles away.

Hit two automotive parts stores and a hardware store. None at any of those. It's not a regular nut. It's a rectangle to fit the battery post slot.

    Make one.

I did for my daughter’s bike when she lost one pulling the battery. I had an old stick of 1/8th inch flat stock steel. Drilled a hole slightly smaller than the screw/bolt. Ran the bolt through it several times to make the threads, Then ground down as much as I could. Pliers and a vice work great.. then filed it to size (rectangle). It’s still working after a couple years.

Trust me.. it was a pain in the ass, But works.

Finally mostly caught up on life after getting home late Tuesday, effing off on Wednesday then life responsibilities like *barf* work on Thursday and Friday. Tomorrow I will go through posts I missed since taking a break from everything, yall got essentially the first 2 pics of my trip in my previous post from my first full day on the moto, that was a northern island loop down to poli poli.

Was on Maui from 4/1 (landed mid day)-4/8 (left mid day). Had a CRF250L Rally at my disposal from Mid day Wed the 3rd through mid day Sunday the 7th, So three FULL days with a half day on either end.

I somehow managed SIX HUNDREDED AND FIFTY FIVE MILES of riding in that time! I explored damn near every single neat twisty road that I planned and was allowed to go on! Its simply CRAZY the vast difference in each part of the island and the beauty that it is. From literal sealevel to just over 10k ft, from barren wasteland to Jurassic park like jungle, to pine forest. Needless to say I was so glad I went AND decided to get a motorcycle to explore.

2nd half of first full day, poli poli. Of course gotta get a beer at 2500ft with a view of the inland and northern part.
    20240404_113724.jpg

Halfway up to the very top of poli poli, single lane beautiful paved road at this point.
    20240404_132226.jpg

    Top of Poli Poli @ 8500ft ~ 10-12mi of dirt 2 track
    20240404_141728.jpg
    20240404_151527.jpg

Coming back down poli poli, This is probably around 4500ft Just an absolute epic view.
    20240404_155003.jpg

Day 2, Top of haleakala up one of THE MOST PERFECTLY PAVED BANKED TURNED roads I have EVER ridden. 10000+ft up!
    20240405_094324.jpg

And ~ 2hrs later after a beer or two among other things and some lunch im down at sealevel down in La Perouse Bay
    20240405_140407.jpg

Day 3, Road to Hana was on the menu. This was the ONLY part of the riding I planned that I did not do as I wasnt able to do the full road as I was with some friends in a Car. That stated they knew some spots and it was SO much fun to bounce around with them. Charles Lindbergh's grave at one of the most beautiful little churches at the very southern tip of the island. Hana Ranch for lunch HIGHLY recommended.

Chowing on some Banana bread from Aunt Sandy's (Also highly recommended) at the Keanae lookout
    20240406_084601.jpg

    Waimoku Falls
    20240406_122207.jpg

Final half day, I made it back to "upcountry" which is probably my most favorite part of the island. Tropical farmland at some altitude. Absolutely STUNNING (this was near the brewery in the first pic in this post)
    20240407_105500.jpg

Words simply can not describe the in person sights, the beauty, the rawness of mother nature and the ocean. The entire trip went off without a hitch for me, great time with great friends and amazing motorcycle riding. I am definitely blessed to be able to of been able to go on such a trip, its one that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

(tomorrow I will catch up on the rest of the happenings here!)

OK I lied about tomorrow.... I took a bit to go through things. Looks like: Some of yall are coming out of winter hibernation, life happenings, unfortunately some crashes, new bikes, new helmets, rides etc!!!!!

Those are definitely cool looking bikes, I have eyed em from time to time, same motor as the ktm 390s AFAIK

    Oof called out!

Stay strong man, while things here on the internet world might look amazing, we all have our shit, nothing to be ashamed of and I feel like here in this thread specifically there's no judgement.

Matched n all, damn that looks good.

Too much.... 780ish for a 96hr rental of a CRF250L Rally that was slightly clapped out with 22k miles on it.

The CRF250L rally I rented definitely could use some more power but ya know, it carted my ass 655 miles, never an issue from sea level to 10k ft so.... I cant complain to much. Ill bet the big bore kit comes with higher compression and the need for premium. Heed the later part, especially with a smaller tank, a single handle fuel pump can dispense 1/2 to a gallon of the previous (likely regular) grade fuel before dispensing the premium.... this has always been a problem on my grom with all of a 1gallon tank.

SOOOOOOOOOO where is this super ten, and did you buy it? Inquiring minds need to know, Ill help out if I can @50Buck

This was the one thing I ABSOLUTLEY missed in hawaii. ZERO lansplitting etc. Though you can ride TOTALLY legal WITHOUT a helmet.... go figure. I lane filteredto the front at lights anyways, I HAAAATE being at the back of a stopped bunch of cars, just asking to get crunched.

Thats one hell of a first post to this thread! love it! EDIT - Wait thats an SV650!?!?!?! GAWT DAYUM!

..... Now that im single I do have a spare room..........................
