    I've gotta start thinking about what tires I want to throw on my truck here eventually. Not sure how people are getting 50K miles out of the factory Goodyear's, but my truck is at 12K miles and they're half worn o_O

    Takes nothing to get them to bark off taking off briskly into traffic. Snow is interesting as well...

    After doing the numbers on a new Tacoma, I'm gonna keep this truck a while so I guess I gotta put tires on it... :annoyed:

    I've had great luck with the Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT (265/75/16 in LR C). About to put another set on later this summer. Might just be the last set.

    Tread depth is 17/32.

    Had those on my last truck, but after the initial nice feeling of new tires I could see where they would not age gracefully. The siping doesn't go all the way through the tread so 1/2 tire life traction would suffer greatly. The new Cooper Trail is almost identical to Goodyears (makes sense as they're now a Goodyear brand) so those are crossed off my list. Gonna see if my tire place can get the General Grabber ATX's. They don't list them on their site, but maybe can get some for me.

    Your mileage may vary then? I know a couple guys that run them and they all replace them around 1/2 tread :notsure:

    I replace every 3 yrs. Usually about 45-48K miles. Could probably squeeze out another year with the remaining tread, but I don't like that little tread for my outdoor adventures.

    Managed to leaf blow saw dust from a tree my neighbors cut down (it's right on the property line, but they had to work on it from my property and they did a cleanup, but missed a lot), changed the plug, air filter and fuel filters on the blower (Stihl BR600), reorganized & cleaned the garage, got 2/3 of the lawn raked and hauled the debris up into the woods (Gorilla Cart) and got the dead end swept up and piled the sand where the street sweeper can collect it.

    I love my Gorilla Cart.

    Beautiful morning here in Connecticut...too bad it's a Monday.
    Going to grill several pounds of chicken thighs, vac seal and into the freezer, wash my car, and get a haircut at noon.

    @BananaMan
    How's the back today?

    Happy Monday.

    @BananaMan sorry to hear about the back. Take care of yourself man.

    what a gorgeous weekend. Yard work here at Moto Mecca and at my gf’s. No rest for the wicked. Did get out for breakfast with a couple buddies on bikes yesterday. My one friend finished his 74 Guzzi LAPD refresh. Beautiful old bike. Nice tearing around on 50 year old motos. Well, mines 45. His is 50.

    this time of year the job really interferes with life! The yard the dog and the bikes all need me

    Got a nice craftsman mower with a Honda motor, runs like a champ but the self propelled mechanism is toast. Gonna see if i can reasonably replace the bits. The thing weighs a ton without the assist.

    Hey Mike, you ever fixing wayward mowers? I’d be good for one for the kids in Buxton…
