So I got home from HI on Tuesday and purposefully took Wednesday off to recuperate. It was a beautiful day I hadnt planned on riding, but a FB memory from like 9 years ago had a pic of my good buddy an I out on a ride in the Malibu hills. I hit him up and we ended up on a 100mi ride in the malibu hills.

Going from the like 22hp of the CRF250 to the 110hp of my super tenere was a bit drastic lol. (Catalina Island centered, Rancho palos verdes part of the mainland on the left - looks like an island but isnt, thanks LA SMOG)

Thanks man I think it came out well!

Damn that is pricey! But I guess it comes with the territory of being a bike and all!

I have not done anything. Need expert advice. Lol

The two I'm eyeing are linked below.

Not sure if the low mileage on the yellow is going to mean seals and such. I'm no mechanic, so I'm hoping for ready to ride.

The other one is more miles but still nothing on a Super T. I like the bars, barkbusters, and exhaust, but the dash damage makes me worry about odometer tampering. Price seems too good to be true, especially with the electronic suspension and heated grips.

That 2016 is a deal. I really doubt any seals are going to be an immediate issue. I'd probably in tall new tires right away and change fluids, then finish breaking it in because that's practically still new.

Kinda how I felt. That was the first I found, but then the kitted out one popped up for significantly less. Has me torn. Not sure I have the immediate funds now, but I feel like these types of deals are dwindling.

My problem is I'm in love with that yellow paint scheme and would spend the extra to have it. The 2019 is nicely set up but the color is kind of bland for me.

I feel you there. It's a sweet color, but comes with the added cost of needing crashbars at a minimum. I'm a noob. Side mounted radiator. Potential disaster without bars.

The knowledge that I am likely to knock it over makes me hesitate on the yellow one as well. Don't want to trash such a pretty bike.

Saw this in a craiglist thread, worth a look through the list, there's some cool finds on here. If I was in the Seattle area I'd go take a look at a few. 80's Bimotas and Ducatis, some motocompos, an RC35, some rarer honda dreams, a bunch of cool cars too.

Twas very amicable, realized we were two different pieces of two different puzzles.

Either are great options, They really didnt make any changes from 2015 on as far as anything running gear related. I will say, the 2016 yellow, under 1k miles means it has sat A LOT. Not something id be too fond of, if it had an extra 0 at the end that would be ideal. That 2019 is a fantastic deal as long as the title is clean! (and you can live with the minimal scratches and the slight melt on the top of the dash from the windscreen).

For either of those at a minimum, Full brake fluid flush front and rear with ABS cycling, clutch fluid, coolant, oil, and rear gear oil. All of which are easy to do.

ES vs non ES. I hardly ever touch the "clicker" settings on my ES suspension, and preload on the rear shock only changes if I have a passenger which has been less than a handful of times. Needless to say the ES suspension while nice is absolutely NOT a deal breaker for me at least, not having the ES opens you up to more aftermarket support as well as less complexity. Heated grips are SO NICE and on that 2016 all the wiring and control is already there, if you wanted heated grips you can buy them plug them in and the option on the dash will show up.

Doing fine, definitely an adjustment after living together for almost 4 years but its for the best for both parties. We still chat so its not like things ended bad at all.

I think you will see deals get more n more better in the coming months. Those two bikes you listed would of been easily 12-14k$ a year and a half ago around down here in southern california when I bought my 2015 super tenere , thats one of the main reasons I flew 1200miles away to middle oregon to pick up the one I got. (2015 ES w/ 22k miles, 2 givi gases, givi crash bar, skid plate for 9.2k)

Bike feels so peppy today! Its 78, that must be why. I need a jersey so i can fully utilize my summer setup

I did not cross. Walked in a little bit, ground was super silty and soft.
