Same old Saturday morning with a twist. I have to pay my taxes and fix my hot water heater.

Morning Jeff, I hate any kind of plumbing around the house. I always end up making 3 or 4 trips to the hardware store for something.

Good morning fellas:D big post, it’s been awhile since I’ve checked in, been so busy. Finally had some time now that I’m awake in the hospital from a motorcycle wreck (no head/back injuries), more on that below…but first happy news! Last weekend for the eclipse, me and my fiance (got engaged recently too:bananadance:) took a last minute trip to the Ozarks to do the ozark overlanding route and see the total eclipse coming right over. It was amazing! The trail was so diverse and fun: scenic maintained gravel mountain road, tight technical spots, rocky river beds, cool landmarks, amazing campsites on the water, and not exaggerating, at least 20+ water crossings, one of which I took on about 6 inches of water in the cab on the first day. That started to stink baaaaad after the 3rd day:rofl:. By far my favorite trails in the south. And of course the total eclipse was spectacular, had a view of it 2,000ft up looking over the Ozarks! Def wanna go back

Now the bad news. Friday I was riding around town on my 1982 Honda silverwing I’ve been working on. In short, there was a pickup turning left that I couldn’t see. I didn’t have time to react, hit the back wheel/side of the truck, front flipped over the handlebars, and landed directly on my knees. Left kneecap broke and sent my femur into my hip fracturing the hip. Right knee was ok but ended up breaking my right tibia. Thankfully they took the impact and I didn’t even hit my head or anything else, very lucky to be alive. Had 2 surgeries so far, probably 2 more to go but I should make a full recovery, just can’t walk for awhile. Doctor said I may need a hip replacement before I’m 30! lol I know @gixxerphil rides too, be careful out there! Think I’m done riding after this lol

Just getting up to go to church. I stay up to late last night. It takes a long time to drain a 55 gallon hot water heater tank, but the elements are replaced and we have hot water again. Our water in Pelham sucks. There was so much calcium on the original heating elements, that one of they shorted out. The water heater is only 15 months old. I’m going to have to get some kind of water filter system.

Dang. Would one of those tankless deals do any better?
