That’s why it is funny/enraging. Pick your flavor.

This is why I don't win the lottery, all my luck goes into this shit.
    Where it was.

    What I did.

    Where it is.

It's pretty close. Gotta yank the other side next, take side by side shots for the judge, then hope my luck holds a second time.
I'll smear grease on the collar and make sure the seal is cool.

How do you reset the ABS light?
It's just that light and not the one with the little brake shoes.
Removing the battery did nothing except lose my classic rock.
Driving did nothing, but it's quiet now and not leaking oil.
Would oil on the tone ring sensor cause it to fail and need replaced>
I wiped them down and sprayed nothing on them.

Have you tried slamming on the brakes to see if ABS is engaging or not?

yes I did, front locked right up. It was awesome.
If the light wasn't an emission failure, I'd leave it.

Jumper between pins 13 and 4 on your OBDII.
Turn key on, pump brakes 8 times.

I'll give that a shot tomorrow. Thank you!
I figured it was something like that with no scan tool.
The Ultra Gauge wouldn't register/clear it either.

Tried that, several times, no luck.
Guess I'll keep that May 10th appointment.
    ABS sucks.

    p.o.s.T.
Light's out, brakes work, no leaks.
    However...
Turning to the left, there is a buzzing coming from the ABS crap under the hood that wasn't there earlier.
Straight, nothing. Had it up to 40mph if that matters.
All the right hand turns, nothing.
All the left hand turns, and they don't have to be sharp, just a sudden lane change, and it buzzes. Stops as soon as wheels are straight again.

Interweb sleuthing has suggested there may be air in the line, which would make sense being apart 3-4 times now and me just bleeding it alone with a can and tube each time.
I'll get someone to help me bleed it right and see if that does it.

You never mentioned 5 seconds. I thought it was just counting the foot pumps. :luvya:
I hit it like a prom date after seeing the video, worked like a charm.
That sure lights up the dash though, all the lights were on and blinking. I wonder what other things can be reset with those pins.

supposedly, those flashes can be counted and read to decipher stored codes.
If you had trouble hitting the brakes 8 times in 5 seconds though, I don't like your chances.

You said jump pins, turn ignition on, pump brakes 8 times. End of instructions.

Nothing about being quick about it. I gave it 8 slow measured pumps, all the way to the floor.
You also left out the part about starting it afterwards with the pins still jumped, for just a few seconds, then shut it off, remove jumper, and viola, lights are out.
