Thanks! Yea it’s been a great setup. I like having everything covered vs an open bed w/rack. No weight to it either. My last tent weighted about the same as my new tent, softtopper and bed bars lol.

I’ve been thinking about getting a GFC topper for quite some time. But went this route first to see if I like a camper style with higher tent.

I'm out. Truck may not be ready and I already have plans to go to the drift track on the 27th, maybe the 28th. Going to be an awesome day :burnrubber:

I've never had a soft topper but I love my hard topper. It's so convenient to lock things in there and not worry about it. Plus, it’s great for hauling the pups and it protects the tailgate from potential theft. Although if you want to remove it periodically, the soft topper would be much easier.

Totally get it man. Not getting out since JT is killing me. If you don't end up putting something together you are welcome to join me at the track and we can try to do some stuff there. The track is by Stoddard Wells so we can camp it out and there's a few spots to do some shooting there too. May not be as much offroading since I'll be focused on the track during the day but we can definitely have some fun out there

I had a softopper for a couple of years, and then moved on to the hard shell that i have now. Both have their own benefits, and it really depends on what you're using your truck for that will determine what set up will be the perfect one.

What winches are you guys using? My bumper should be here soon and I might as well throw in a winch now. Definitely going synthetic, doesn't need to be fancy just work if I need it.

I don’t have a winch, I just make sure I’m with a friend that does have one :anonymous:

Smittybilt X20 Synthetic has worked well for me when needed. Also has a wireless remote.

I have a smittybilt x2o it's cheap and works. If I had money to waste I'd get a super winch or come up.
