I can see this being so much slower because of the heavy wheels.

agreed!! There’s some things that I’d do different but that thing looks like it’d go places.. a nod to the rear end for sure, don’t people use them in XJ’s too?

I don't follow many XJ builds, I mainly see dana 60's in those though. Wouldn't surprise me if some people used toyota rear ends in budget builds. Seems like a pretty good option for the right price

Thankfully it's starting to become illegal in some areas. I'm all for modding cars and trucks, but not something as stupid and dangerous as squatted trucks.

Overland builds will be on this list in 5-10 years when people realize you can just pack your tent and sleeping bag in the back seat and don't have to drive a 2 story truck. That said, I like overland trucks.

I don't think looks is the main concern with these. they are purpose-built and capable in the intended environment. That said, I would totally drive one these Hilux's to the mall.

There are some pics of a 3rd gen taco built out too, not sure if it's real or a render though. Would totally jump the Starbucks curb in this beast.

Hell yeah! I've seen the arctic trucks in person when I was visiting Iceland, but haven't seen a US spec vehicle like the Taco built up like that. Super cool.
