Yeah lol I remember when they had to move into that arena some years back after a deal fell through with their bigger one. And they couldn't even fill that one most of the time.

But on top of being in a tough market area for hockey, the team has been in a perpetual "rebuild" mode to some degree for years. I think they've only made the playoffs 9 times since they moved there in 1996 and usually exit in the 1st round. Hard to build a lasting fan base in a tough market when you're historically one of the least successful teams every year

The Canucks have had a tough decade but man, that city bleeds hockey. I wonder if SLC will be better as there's less pro sports there to watch, and in the winter time, there's less to do so more people inclined to go to a hockey game.

Also saw someone came up with a hilarious name for the new team. Salt Lake Soakers.

 

I'm gonna guess SL Knockers is out of the question?

 

yeah Canada is a different beast. Toronto hasn't won a cup since 1967 but arguably have some of the most die hard fans in the league (also the most insufferable imo). If the Kings don't go far in this year's post-season, which I honestly don't expect they will unfortunately, then I would like to see the Canucks take it

Two days in a row of morning tests showing no traces of ammonia; I dose my tank with approximately 1-2ppm of ammonia and within 12 hours it drops down to about 0.5ppm, and by the next morning it's at 0ppm

It's easily handling all of that ammonia on its own



Nitrite levels are steadily hovering at or below 2ppm, which is better than the spike the other day (normal, expected) so I can't wait until it starts reading 0ppm



And since having added the 10-12 ludwigia stems, my nitrates have stayed below 10ppm (closer to 5ppm)



Thinking of adding a moss ball or two to establish a heavily planted tank and give the future shrimp something to feed off of

 

I realize a Humvee/H1 is an awful vehicle. But this seems unusually cheap for a titled one in Texas. Even one with an unfinished 5.3 swap.

 

Maybe attendance would be low because hockey isn't wholesome enough for the mildest people on the face of the earth.

She is way into all the books and articles about early solids and stuff so she's knows way more than me, but apparently you want to start out with a cup right away to get them used to it despite the crazy messes. Same with feeding, they say not to feed them and let them handle the spoon even though at first it's like a puree bomb exploded all over them. Rebecca is very by the book with this stuff this time around lol. I'm a little more...seat of the pants

 

yesterday I put some puree on his little rubber spoon and set it in front of him, he grabbed it like it was a million bucks and smashed it straight into his eye lol
