That’s the first one I saw in the showroom. It was a Pro Runner just like that one. Wish I didn’t see it now.

And just like that, mowing season is upon us.
Regular readers know, for me this means one thing in particular ---
    :censored: tires...

I remember this from last season.

    KIMG3920.jpg

Fortunately I had the foresight (experience is a hard teacher) to put the blocks under it, using the air tank I was sitting on all four.

Seems I could get a bit more use out of it...:notsure:

    KIMG3921.jpg

Add a battery, gas and 10 seconds of cranking and the long suffering ZT rumbled to life.

    Lol.

I forgot I ran mine mostlydry last season.

Was just enough fuel in it to move the farthest point in the yard and quit.

Of course the 6 gallon gas can was completely full.

The reason that crap tire was on there was that this crap tire leaked - unfortunately this one was almost new.

You might say that new and crap aren't far removed any more.

    KIMG3916.jpg

    But wait, there's more!

    KIMG3917.jpg

Fortunately this is part & parcel for the rural dweller, ain't my first time round.

    KIMG3919.jpg

And plugged, as usual with these newer tires there wasn't any obvious damage, the air just weeps through the rubber it seems.

    KIMG3918.jpg

This can sit in the sun to cure, I'll mow around the dooryard and then mount it & change the oil.

I use a kerosene syphon to empty the tank and then run it dry.

It pulled fuel in less than 10 seconds.

Well now, doesn't this seem familiar...

Just like always - mowin' along, singin' a song (Jason Aldean) on lawn #3, still at the garage fortunately and the mower went abruptly silent.

    KIMG3925.jpg

    This might be the problem.
A large piece of #12 NM cable. :ballchain:

    KIMG3924.jpg

Like my tire problems I also have a long and colorfully worded history of mowing into and over various blade braking & deck bending items.

The worst might have been a "Welcome" mat of all things - it was the only time I ever had to cut the mower loose from the ground.

Competing for best of the worst was a steel dog tie cable - ever notice that most of them are green -- like grass.

Well Wrenchmen, never let it be said that us mechanical folks can't appreciate (abstract) art.

I present you with my yet unnamed contribution:

    Name it by poll? ;)
