Got confirmation my driver side front diff bearing is bad. Is it even worth just replacing the bearing? Or am I gonna need to replace/rebuild the diff?
Or should I just take my $10k and run cause this thing is driving me insane:D
    Thanks guys

Doing that bearing is a pretty easy job, please buy the extractor tool though I’ve done two of these and the first one I did without the tool, it’s not fun

I’m now seeing you just add it with the bearing itself

No, the passenger side never has an issue.
    It's a different style bearing.

Driver's side is the one that fails.

    what bearing
    What $10k

there is probably multiple driver side bearings. Internal and outer factory needle bearing that is not good.
Never heard of internal bearing failure.

except tiny size rear diffs doing that on 4th gen 4runner.

You can get the seal any where you want. Like T4R said, they just sell in their site so you can get all of it at once.

OP, there are some threads here and there where people are whoring the installation tooling around, in case you want to save some money.
