Not seeing too many new SR5's around here being posted, but I brought home this lowly SR5 today...

Was on the lot and no added mark-up. Actually was a couple grand off as it somehow has been sitting a little bit. Has the upgrade package with the heated seats/steering wheel and JBL sound system. After several Offroads and a Sport in the mix this truck is still optioned nicely. I never offroad so this only makes sense.

After a couple 3rd gens with the V6 the 2.4 turbo seems to be a breath of fresh air. Doesn't even hardly downshift on the hills on the state roads I drive. Computer said I was getting 26mpg on the way home from the dealer. The 8 speed is still learning, but seems to already shift better than my old '21 that has the 6 speed automatic. I traded in my '22 6 speed manual. Tired of shifting.

I did immediately after getting home remove that goofy front chin spoiler...

So, here's to hoping it will be reliable!

Congratulations on the truck! I must admit I’m jealous of your grass more.

We had the entire months worth of rain for April the first week in so it is taking off. I'm sure it'll get dry and die off like last year.

Nice ride. SR5 with some nice bits is what I’m probably going with as well if the price is right. Like the back to basics vibe.

I’m interested to hear how you like it as you drive it more. I’m so glad you got rid of that chin strap too

Loving it more by the mile. Made a loop back to the dealer to retrieve my garage door remote. Took I-70 for a couple miles to try it out. I did have to turn off that lane assist as it got confused through the construction (can't be a Maryland Spring without road construction!) and was pulling me in different directions.

Still sitting on 26mpg, so next tank I'll do an actual hand calculation. If it's true it will make up for the smaller tank.

It did ride much better adjusting the tires to door plaquard pressure. They were all about 7 psi over inflated o_O
