2020 OR bought used in 2023. Appears to have the 3+1 6 clip recall packs already. But they sit dead flat unloaded, with my cap and any movement they start to invert.
Shouldn't the replacement packs hold more than my cap? considering payload is 2-3x what my cap weighs. Shouldn't they sit better than flat unloaded? WTH

Constant weight kills them (even caps). Most go to Icon RXT or Deaver after stock.

There was no TSB for 3rd gen, so those are factory springs. All 3rd gens have 3+1.

    what is this? post Pics?

as @Bishop84 mentioned, the OE leaf pack is very weak and even just a topper will load them, let alone having additional weight.
I added a fiberglass topper and a Decked drawer system (aprox. 350-400#) and my OE leaf packs were nearly compressed static. While driving, I was bouncing off the bumpstops regularly, making highway travel unsafe, as I was essentially bottoming out over bridge expansion joints at speed.

Irrelevant for 3rd gen. was mislead.
Getting Dakkars soon, but wanted to see if this was the reason mine are flat in the mean time.

I only have the cap on sporadically, but I have no idea what the previous owner did. I bought it as a lease return. Just disappointing how weak they are, a 300lb cap can flatten springs with a payload of 1600lbs

Stock 3g leaf springs are flat at rest at stock weight. That's just how they are there is nothing wrong.

That said, I have a set for sale with 800 miles on them if anyone wants to buy them and compare lol.

cap or any weight makes them invert? garbage.
I looked into building a franken pack, but cheap and easier to just go with dakkars

as mentioned, they are flat by design, but of course also aren't able to carry more than a gym bag without sag.
Also, check your truck's GVWR tag in your door jamb. I believe most have a payload of more like 900-1,000 lbs. I think mine is the lower 900s.
