Hey I was just looking for some recommendations on tires mainly for commuting/highway with the ability to do very minimal off-roading. I’m a new taco owner and have a 2004 TRD SRS. Thanks!

If you're not interested in throwing down 2 grand for tires, look at your local shops for anything with AT (all terrain.) I will say though, YGWYPF, My 94 SR5 had Michelins on it, owned it for at least 7 years and when it drove away the tires still had almost 1/2" of tread on them.

Super Swampers are always the answer. Or Michelins in this case.

Very happy with Cooper AT3 4S, I do a lot of highway but they’ve been fine on the bit of off road I do

Toyo at3s I’m on my second set and they are a good all around tire that will not totally kill your fuel mileage.

I always run Falkens I can usually get 50-55 k out of mine. I do the same lots of highway with very minimal off-roading.

I will second the Michelin LXTs we also run Yokohama g015s on our highway vehicles they work well. Another option is to go with the cheapest name brand 3pmsf rated tire. Don't bother with more aggressive tread for the street they are just louder and wear faster

That is the funniest thing I've ever seen on here my lord

Edit: I thought that search was his entire post history, and that all he had ever contributed to TW was sarcastic swamper suggestions..
Not as funny now that I realized he just does it on the side, still objectively hilarious though.

He's sponsored by Interco that's his whole job is spamming boggers on everything. OP I like Wildpeaks or anything from Yokohama is good. Anther good one would be goodyear wranglers. Those come factory on 3rd gen tacomas with a 16" so you could scoop some used ones for cheap. I would stay away from k02 or anything with the same tread pattern as they seem to get rebadged. They will shake badly. I have replaced at least a dozen sets of tires for that issue.

Have had several sets of Michelin defender LTX MS on two trucks including my Tacoma. Great tire for mostly on road. Last forever with a reasonable driver, 70k+. Would surely buy again for that use, get what you pay for and more, longevity, good ride, responsive and quiet.

OP, I'd steer clear of no-name off-brand cheap AT tires. You really do get what you pay for with quality. I'd recommend the Cooper At3 4s. My boss runs them on his 2nd gen and loves them. Good highway tire that will still handle plenty of offroad action not to mention the 65k mile treadwear warranty.
