You must be living under a rock if you think the Tundra is not cheapy made and doesnt have problems.

This owner says it himself, the Tundra is cheaply made. I see many of these buy backs on YT lately regarding the new Tundras.

Lets face it ALL cars these days are cheaply made. Every manufacturer these days try to save costs one way of the other.

For these prices, folks going full size? I know i will be next truck. I like my 2017, but 32k was tough to justify then. No way for these numbers, ill spend the same or a bit more and get alot more capable truck.

How much were full size trucks in 2017? $40-45? price difference is still the same.

I do not remember, sure it could be found. But, I can get a new full size less than I can a Sport here in NH and for some reason, folks are defending this

I think people are defending the fact it's not apples to apples. I can get a base TRD OR for $45,000. If I look at a Tundra SR5 TRD OR MSRP is $55,232 for a DoubleCab (probably the same rear cab space would you agree?). Transaction price is $50,711 so it's still $5,700 more than the Tacoma, which I'm sure if I spent 3 minutes I could find one at a discount (my local dealer advertising 2024's at $3,000 off MSRP already). $5,700 is still a big gap. Are you comparing it to the big 3?

Yes, the big three. I am not brand loyal and will get the best vehicle for my needs, in which price is certainly on my list of choices. Tundra and Tacoma have not been stars in reliability as of late and there prices are higher where there specs are not as great (size, towing, mpg, reliability, comfort, etc...)

Overall, I really like my 2017 and have many years left ownership (only at 90k). Toyota better change if there in the top three for my next truck like the 2017 was.

They are showing up on lots around here (Southern WI). Local dealer has optioned-out Sport and Off-Road models that have been sitting for weeks. Too expensive.

I won’t buy a new Tacoma with out a hybrid max option. Can’t even configure it yet.

For the same price I think many people are getting Tundras and F150s

No. Not everyone wants a full size truck regardless of price.

Had to do a one way rental in a Silverado a week ago. Maybe it was vehicle specific, but I couldn't wait to get out of that thing. If I was hauling lumber or panels, I wouldn't mind extra trips in my Taco. If I had to tow something over the a Taco's limit. I wouldn't. I would say leave it there, didn't need it anyway. There is no way I can live with this thing on a daily basis. But that is just me.

Felt like a boat. Felt cheaply made. Controls were not intuitive, probably because my brain is mapped to the Toyota way. Wipers on the rental were literally scraping like banshees. Felt like a boat.
