    Morning everybody.

    Rough night for me, doggie had another bout of vestibular syndrome (dog vertigo) or something else that hit about 10:00. Scared the hell out of me and the wife. Didn’t get the dog settled down and sleeping till about 01:30. He still can’t walk without assist this morning. Hope for an improvement today.

    This is the second time with the vestibular for him, last episode was a few months ago. Just like a person the room is spinning on him, he can’t keep his balance, nausea. It’s the worse for 24-48 hours then starts to dissipate. Takes 2-3 weeks to fully resolve. It presents similar to a stroke except for eye nystagmus which he has so that’s what we’re treating for. Unfortunately, he's also diabetic so he has other medical issues I’ve got to consider.

    Poor baby! We have had a couple diabetic dogs and both of them developed cataracts as well. It’s too bad they can’t tell us how they feel and what’s going on with them. A good veterinarian is a pretty slick human.
