The v in v6 stands for the piston layout. There are 3 on each side, looking at a cross section they are laid out in a v shape.
The Tacoma is an i4, I means inline so 4 in a single line

$6,000 is still plenty. What was the price difference between the 4 and 6 cylinder? Drive train options should be the most expensive options.

I just watched the Straight pipes could be the weight but they said it was sluggish

Thanks for the laugh...I really hope that was meant to be funny....in case it wasn't...the V6 is called a V6 because the cylinders are laid out in a...wait for it...V pattern....Sometimes they are laid out in a line and the call it....wait for a it...an inline 6.....

My first impression of the LC drive is that Toyota needs to install the seat cloth material from the 1958 edition into the TRD trim Tacomas. Anyone stroking a $50k+ check for cloth seats at the least deserves the good stuff and not something that looks like it was approved by Carlos Ghosn.

I feel like that cloth would look a bit out of place for the Tacoma interior. The styling is just a bit off.

Was just a viewing a thread, that I assume turned political because its now gone - someone posted a photo of a sticker on their 4th gen, stating that the vehicle transmits data wirelessly (just as many other modern cars do now). I always find it comical that things that have been going on for years, people freak out about and think its the end of the world; like data collection in your vehicles.

Got a link? I can't seem to find any LC MAX reviews. Thanks.

Yes, there is a “heritage” vibe to the LC seats that might look a little out of place in a forward-design truck.

Beyond the aesthetics, I think I’m mostly impressed to see Toyota put more effort into the fabric quality. Would love to see that effort in the Tacomas, particularly the ones that cross $50k

So much to like about the LC. Love the muted exterior styling and flowing interior relative to the try-too-hard internal and external styling of the Tacoma and 4Runner. The only issue (besides the lack of a bed) for me is the pricing. 63K for the mid-grade LC is just too much in the face of all the competition.

Even after breaking the radiator it didn't overheat. They also acknowledged that they are idiots.

A troubling BTW phrase in the MT review: "but during our drive in the countryside we struggled to approach 18 mpg average as reported by the onboard computer."

MPG underperformance is also true for the Tundra iForce-Max and may not bod well for the Tacoma.

The iForce Max formula looks to be a pretty sad execution from Toyota.

I’ve been driving a 2024 F150 Powerboost (TT 3.5 V6 hybrid) for a week now and the computer is saying 24-25 AVG.

What did the 200-series LC with 5.7L V8 get? 13 mpg under the same conditons?

Tundra Max MPG is advertised as only 1 more than non-hybrid. Fuelly shows Tundra MPG for non-hybrid averages 17 and the Max averages 18.
