If you want to do it quick get some sort of fluid sucker or large turkey baster and turn the key to the on position, suck out the fluid while the pump is running then as soon as it is dry kill the power.

let me know if you have any problems with them shifting back and fourth with more “spirited” driving haha

Another snorkel vote here. Been running mine for years for that reason.. Cleaner air. I havent ran liners in years as well due to cutting my fenders.

And that's my concern lol. The abs sheets show up tomorrow I'm going to try that first. I wish there was a lower profile snorkel

There are. I get the looks arent for some.. but I have and will continue to swear by the benefits. I've put my truck into limp mode out in the desert running trails. That pickup location for the filter is just in a bad spot for offroad use. The snorkel gets it up out of the "dust zone" and has been problem free ever since. Its also cooler air. Ran a lot of tests and saw intake temps and maf readings between the 2 setups.

You could do the cowl method. That would be a decent in-between solution I think.

yah read maybe some issues there but seems to be the popular way to go. Did you run into issues? What did you "feel" if so.

I’m the only one I know of that’s had this issue. I don’t really feel anything while driving, and it’s only offroad with larger hits that will shift the rack left and right.
I’ll only notice it when I’m back on relatively straight pavement or maybe a smooth fire road.
Wheel will be off center but the cams will not have changed.
Tie rods the same length as before etc.
Not sure how much torque I can go down on those bolts before stripping or if it’ll even stop the movement.

I 100% agree with you. I saw @greenEFSI made a volant ram scoop work on his truck, my only concern would be if it would fit with the s/c and the bigger radiator

i love the snorkel i got on my GX. its low profile. its made by an Israeli company called lenz design or something like that. some people have had bad build quality with them but its been fine for me.

DRT has started importing In-House Fab's stainless snorkels. They are from down under and make some clean, low profile snorkels for 2nd and 3rd gens.

got any photos of what you mean? My wheel is def off center a bit. Feel like that's always been an issue though.

Im battling my JD Fab TC Howe pump leaking. Just installed so I think something is off somewhere but another fun piece.

Any recommendations on where can I get a high output alternator relatively quickly? Looks like mine is failing at ≈110k miles. Light came on today and I'm only getting 13V at 2,500rpm.

The Toyota OEM tow-package 140A one or an aftermarket even higher output one?

Also, do you want it to be 100% plug and play or would you entertain altering the wiring to connect up a non-Toyota one?
