I got some perrys, they work. Hvant beat on the truck since install. found out where my phantom vibration was coming from. It was my driver side wheel bearing, and busted ass R and P bushings.

My buddy has the TC 2" kit and Wheelers, for the desert it worked really good. I put them on my daughters 4runner and the results are just as good. Would recommend for an easy bolt on.
But hydros are the way to go.

Need to be extra careful with the wheelers as they compress more than you’re able to with a floor jack. Always be sure to add a little extra. Even then, many times the bolt still becomes the actual “stop”.

McNeil seems like they put the most effort into the wheel arch body line out of the 3 - I got the 6” ADV and it’s eh, but at least the hood and door body lines match up pretty well. Even for 6” they had to be heavily trimmed to fit 35’s at full bump.

Best way to set any bump other than hydros IMO, is to add a too fat stack of spacers>beat on it>remove spacer(s)>repeat until only a bit of unused shock shaft.

Save your money and get hydro/air bumps. Its worth it, I went compacts all around to save a bit of coin, they work just fine, you can fiddle with psi too, plus you can have them revalved , somewhat.

I know that The Truck Shop here in San Diego is making their own( oem replacement conventional bump), and have been getting really good feedback.
One of the mechanics we des run with has them and has no complaints.

On the subject of bumps, anyone have one to sell?

USPS lost one of mine in transit.
Seller refunded me, but I just need one and the mount can. Most places want to sell two.

Passenger side doing better than drivers side. Battery hasn't been up there since '09 right after I got the truck. I'll keep patching it until I finally decide to lose them and rebuild.

My next project in the works is relocating my batteries to inside the cab. My hangup right now is how I'm going to run the battery cables from the cab the engine bay, couple of ways to do it. Haven't decided yet.

I did it. Happy with it. Wasn't too difficult, depending on how you decide to anchor the battery.

I moved my battery to a smaller tool box in the bed, one of the best things I ever did.

Behind my backseat and under is all storage for spare parts and stuff so I didn't want to take that space. Besides I'm cheap and needed a warranty Toyota Truestart battery. My spare tire is mounted in the bedcage at an angle and that space under it is perfect for the battery.

I finally got bigger tires 2020 Long Travel Tacoma 1997 MAGNUM
Now if I were to go with a dual shock setup in the front, how necessary are bump stops?

I've heard that if bypasses have a properly set up bump zone, you won't need a bump stop
