    Hey TacomaWorld,

I have a new 2024 Tacoma SR. It has been great so far. One update I am considering is to upgrade the rearview mirror. I did this on a different car by finding a compatible miror that had the same power plug etc, it was a simple upgrate of undoing the set screw, sliding the mirror out and then sliding in the new mirror and plugging in the connector.

I did some searching and see similar posts for oder gen tacomas, anyone try this yet on the 2024? Is there power in connecter alreaday there? The SR trim doesnt have a power mirror and I havent tried opening the plastic cover to see whats upthere, but had a miure to search here and not finding any posts, I am putting this out there.

Anyone poke around the mirror and/or swap the mirror to dimming and homelink?

    Thanks

    Rich

I think it's pretty easy to check what is up there in terms of connectors. I'm guessing at the very least you will have the 5 pin that's mention in this thread. I think the mirror is on a 10 pin. Not sure about what else would be needed to get the mirror working.

I am in the same boat and would like to get an auto dimming mirror on here
Just pulled the trim off of the mirror, I do not see any spare connectors I could use. Could I possibly tap into the connector for the lane keep module?

For the mirror, I figure I will tap into the overhead lighting/button circuits.

My 2024 OR came with an auto dimming mirror but not the next level up with Homelink. In my exchange the mirror already had a connection so it was a simple install. You might find Bob (@RJP869 Bob's Mirrors) of some help in your situation. https://www.bobsmirrors.com/
