Hello, Hoping someone can tell me if I have installed these neo4 mm lights in my 2003 Tacoma ac/heater control panel. I did not have them completely lined up the way they are now, the first time i re-installed and got no light. Thought I could get a response to let me knowIMG_1124[1].jpg if, this is correct before I try again. Thanks in advance!

LED right? Some LED's won't work without an inline resistor

Yes, LED. The same led's other members have installed from Superbrightleds.com. Just didn't see any mention on installing correctly in the other post.

If the don't work turn them a half of turn. The have a polarity and they will only work 1 way.

Ok, they are are working now! The picture I posted is the correct way to be lined up on those white lines on the board. Just amazing on my first attempt, none of the lights worked!! So, did a 180 degree turn on them and that was the fix. I just ordered a hvac unit from a 2002 4runner since their face plate is clear and doesn't have the orange. Never cared for the orange lighting in my truck. Will be changing the cluster over to white led's too. Thank yous for the help!!

You went with the plain neo4 not the neo4hp?

    I have a 2001 Tacoma.
Looking to replace the three HVAC climate control lights too.
Original Toyota part number for these is 90010-05120
Everyone recommends superbrightleds.com and they have these NEOx bulb listed on their site and I want to verify which one will fit my truck.

superbrightleds.com has a vehicle compatibility check. However on the listing page for these bulbs they say "Product may not be compatible with 2001 Toyota Tacoma"

The 4mm version of these on the page has a reference number of "NEO4" Has anyone ordered these and can you confirm these 4mm fit the 1st generation Tacoma HVAC?

Also I want this bulb's light to most closely be like OEM as possible. Since the OEMs are incandescent they would have a warm light correct?

So in this case should I get the "Warm 3200K" NOT the cool white or natural? I actually really like the OEM light and don't want it any brighter than that. But others may have more experience with putting LEDs in and what works better.

    Thanks for the help

I have the Neowedge 4mm version and they fit fine. Here’s a pic

To answer the second part of your question about the temperature of the light. LED’s are pretty bright. So they’re not going to give off the same brightness of a stock incandescent. If they’re too bright for me. I use the rheostat to turn them down a little bit

Yup thats what I have in my cart so that is a relief.

What color did you get? Are the warm 3200k a good idea if I want to stay as close to OEM as possible?

I bought mine in 2015. I just went back and looked at my Email receipt and it didn’t list the color warmth or whatever. But I’d have to agree with your thinking that 3200k would be the warmest and closest to OEM. But you can’t really compare an incandescent to an LED.

Just to make your life more difficult, I used these LED's when I did my 3rd Gen 4Runner climate control. I tried some of the Super Bright LED options first, but I liked the VLED spread better as it has fewer hot spots due to the better beam angle (180 for VLED vs 120 for Superbright LED).
