last week in Amsterdam I took these pics of the EV’s on the street where we were staying. EV’s were literally everywhere.







without question Europeans have better and more varied options for electric and gas cars.

 

We tend to think the world revolves around us but that only happens when we’re in the driver’s seat leading the way. Denial is just putting us in the back seat with the crying baby.

one of the big complaints from the EV never crowd is charging in the city is impossible. By any measure Amsterdam is a big city and they seem to have figured it out.

Tesla has fired its entire Supercharger division, staff who worked in the team say.

There are over 50,000 Superchargers globally, the company says, making it the world's largest fast-charging network for electric vehicles.

Boss Elon Musk said the firm would cut one in ten jobs, as it faces strong competition from less expensive rivals.

It needed to be "absolutely hard core" about cost reduction, he wrote in a memo first reported by The Information.

The BBC has approached Tesla for comment.

 

Elon is killing that company. The board needs to oust him. Lots of companies committed in good faith for the NACS charging rights.

 

Sounds the like followup is that they're going to build out slower, and mainly with existing sites.

The thing about European cities and suburbs is that they travel much fewer miles to travel to work or other destinations while in the US our commutes are much longer for work and play. Thus a lower range EV is ideal for countries like The Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Finland.
