Sorry if this was discussed as I couldn't find anything on it. When I come to a complete stop I hear a thump sound that appears to be coming from underneath. Can't narrow down exactly where its coming from but I will say anywhere from behind front seats to the rear. Any thoughts?

It's the gas in the tank. You won't notice it if the tank is full or down to 1/4 of a tank. My Dakota did it too.

Wierd. Every single rear wheel drive vehicle I have ever owned has done this. I assumed it was normal. Had my Tacoma glanced over by local dealership after purchasing and they didn't mention anything.

Yes it does and that's very likely the case with OP's. That and a sticky slip joint.

It's been much discussed... various ways to fix and one you can't since you have a DC (AC's can get a one-piece Tom Wood's shaft).
