The valve I got isnt available anymore. I dont have pictures but its simple once you find the parts. You just need to find a valve with the below specs. Youll also need various fittings

    Normally OPEN
    120 V Ac I assume
Matches your current drain size (probably 1/4 npt).

Also if you are using a switch make sure it can handle the compressors current. Mine draws over 15 so I could not use a normal light switch.

How hard is it to swap out muffler and tailpipe plus intermediate pipe/resonator?

My 2.7 is sounding like the fast and furious and I hate it. From what I can tell it would involve removing nuts & bolts from flange behind the cat, disconnecting muffler and tailpipe from hangers, and installing new stuff. Am I missing anything here? I’d being doing this in the dirt driveway and am expecting I might have to grind off the nuts and bolts at the flange connection. Would probably buy the exhaust hanger pliers that makes separating them easier. Parts are cheap on rock auto and I wouldn’t have to get rides to work or take time off if I did it on the weekend.

    1. I think it's going to go a lot faster than you think it will.
    2. Give a couple exhaust shops a call and get an estimate. You might be surprised how cheap it would be to have someone do it.

On a 2.7, it is not bad to remove the exhaust, just depends how far you want to travel up. The muffler/tailpipe is one assembly, then the catalytic converters are the mid-pipe, and finally the manifold/header. Also depends how rusty the hardware/flanges are!

Thanks ya’ll! My motivation to DIY this is not really financially driven. More out of the inconvenience of not having a vehicle for a day. I work in office about 45 mins away from where I live. Bumming rides, taking Ubers, etc gets to be annoying so I’d like to save the trips to the mechanic for the important stuff or things that would end up really bad if I messed them up. I know how to do some stuff (oil, belts, pulleys, etc) but don’t have the most confidence when it comes to wrenching on the daily driver. I figured if I mess up the exhaust the worst case would be an extra loud truck until I can get it to the shop.

Any decent exhaust shop will have appointments and be done in less than an hour. I like Lou’s if you have any near you.

The tool helps, but if you have a pair of channel locks that is fine as well, make sure to spray them with your favorite penetrative oil first to help lube them up. I'd get new bolts and matching nuts since I'm pretty sure factory is nuts welded to the flange

Sorry to hear it. I got tagged with an at fault accident last year even though I'm still not convinced. I didn't appeal it because from prior experience the Merit Rating Board is an insider club and if you don't know someone, they won't overturn the insurance company decision.

I got rear ended down here in Texas earlier this month. I have thread in the 3rd Gen forum if anyone is interested. My insurance company assured me that it's the other guys fault and they'll fight the deductible out with his insurance company. Oddly enough, the body shop I'm using wants me to drop the truck off before they'll order parts. I have the estimate from the insurance company's contract appraiser, so I don't know why.

On the short list of things I miss after moving my former body guy is one. For those interested, it's Apex on the Stoughton/Brockton line. Sean not only does great work, but he's not afraid to fight with insurance companies about supplements.

My daughter got a CX-5 last year and loves it. Oddly enough I mostly see younger women driving them. Nice car without the "Toyota Tax" the similar RAV4 has.

I'm not aware of a club in Easton that has a range the long. I used to belong to Ames (before we moved) and it's max range is 300 yards. Ames is a mostly rifle oriented club and the 300 yard range is pretty good. I used to joke about the guys with $5,000.00 ARs that shoot them like they are muzzle loaders.

I liked that it was less than 10 minutes from my house and if I went weekdays I was usually the only person there.

Mansfield maybe? It was a while ago, i just remember the general location and it took me 35 ish minutes to get there. There were competition type rifle folks there when we were there and those targets were well, well past the 100 yd range we were shooting at.

Could be. I was only at that range once when I was taking an NRA instructor course. That was while they were rebuilding their clubhouse after it burned down. Their website shows a lot of pictures of competitions but I didn't see anything about facilities.

She bought her 2016 when we first started dating - she had a Cobalt that she had been driving for ten years. She thought about looking at GM's equivalent (Equinox?), but a coworker with a Mazda told her how much she loved hers, so she was willing to take a look at them. As soon as she mentioned Mazda, I seized the opportunity to agree strongly with her coworker in hopes of steering her away from a small GM/Ford/Jeep/Dodge SUV. She drove a good condition used 2016 we found and liked it enough to buy it.

I haven't met anyone who has been disappointed in theirs - I have a friend whose wife has around 170k on hers without any major issues. My mom bought an off-lease 2017 a few years ago after hearing about ours and another friend of hers' experiences with them. It's been good to her as well - I think the only issue she's had is a bad map SD card that caused the infotainment to act funny.

That one's not it, the layout was different. You walked past the long rifle range and they had a pistol shed at the end, away from the parking lot. The long rifle range shot from an enclosed hut. Bostonbilly took me a while back, when I was new to firearms. I know it was a private club, but I don't remember what it was called.
