Whaaat that’s so strange. The other day I saw 4G OR and sport at my local dealer. They both had that funny looking spare.

So your spare is identical to the rest of your tires?

Yea, I got 2 regular smart key fobs and one key card. I was not expecting that. Did you get any options packages?

Yea, same Firestone tire and everything. Crawled under there and was baffled as I too saw all those smaller temporary spares. Truck build 1/24.

Ahhhh, see mine came with the options package with the heated seats/steering wheel and JBL sound system. That might be one of those hidden differences.

Now that makes sense, Would be cool to have the key card though. I might just buy the card and program it with techstream or my autel ms906ts. I did see I can get a digital key with the toyota app.

Key card is great. I've had one for ages on my 3rd gen. I have 0 keys I carry and has been that way for many years.

House has remote entry on both doors and garage, truck has credit card key, life is good.

The future is seriously gonna mess some of you up lol.

I’m definitely on that list haha. I’ve always like to do things the “old school way”

Man I’m so not looking forward to driving EV when my taco disintegrates. I really enjoy the driving experience in a fuel burning MT vehicle.

It’s been years since I carried a key ring. I have one, just don’t carry it. It’s stays in my truck in case I ever need it. I carry a truck key fob all by itself. Go in through the garage. Debit, cc, and license go in the back of my phone case so I don’t carry a wallet either. All the other rarely used cards are in a second wallet in the truck. Money clip stays in the truck too unless I think I’d need it.

It would suck if my truck got broken into and of course it could happen. But it never has before and it’s likely a once or twice-in-a-lifetime event for most vs carrying that crap around every day for a lifetime. Easy decision for me.

I like the idea of that key card but it looks too fat to improve my situation any. I’d love to be wrong about that though. The less shit I gotta carry the better.

The key card is about 3 or 4 credit cards thick to give you an idea on its actual size.

Interesting that they started charging for the Bed Rail Cleats now too, those used to be part of standard equipment too.

Did you mean "close it"? There is a button on the door handle. If you have th key card on you, you just tap the button on the door handle. It locks all, including the tailgate

It is definitely sweet. I was able to order a smart card from Lexus and program it to my 2018 TRD PRO. Push button start. It works great.
