Looking that way. The city is very down on the whole idea of it. I do understand it, if he wants to get what he can on the open market this summer. But he was a player that the city loved and it sucks.

I really couldn't believe it happened until I saw the replay on the big screen.

 

According to the Athletic, he is going to Carolina. Ironing out a few details and will be called after the games, as both teams are playing. Ugh. Hope there is at least a good return.

 

I'm torn about this. He's a great guy and great player but something has to give for the Pens.

 

Pens play the Canes on March 26th. It will be odd to see. Pens just gave up a shorty to Wilson. Man, this team can make you sick.

 

Ya, you are right. I understand it from a business standpoint. I guess it is just hard to swallow after the offseason thst we had. I fully expected playoffs and hopefully re-signing him if it made sense. Instead, no playoffs and trading him away. Just sucks.

And yeah, that is very on-par lol. Terrible to give up that shorty.

 

I expect a few more trades. They do have to get younger and need help at a number of positions.

 

I do too. Smith, maybe Ned. Ruhwedel. A bunch if names were being tossed around but they did say Jake would likely go before Fri. So maybe once that big move is done today, then he will work on the other ones.

 

Jake got traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, guess I need a new shirt now.

Wow Carolina just picked up Kuznetsov too, if he actually tries he's pretty damn good. Past few years deadline week has been lame this ones been pretty decent.

Had heard nothing about Ruhwedel, but he went to the Rangers for a 2027 4th rounder. That's like 2 birds in the bush as opposed to one in the hand, but I'll take the 4th rounder, even if it is far into the future.

 

I like Chad. Solid bottom pairing guy. But heard there was a chance he would go. I'll take the pick, I suppose. But I did think he was solid to keep around. I guess he was not in the plans, moving forward though.

 

Gives Ludvig a chance to develop and show us what he can do. The Pens sure could use his toughness. I'm surprised more haven't gone. Still have an hour.

Im sure not many follow the ECHL feeder league to the AHL. Milestone in pro hockey. Ive been playing since 1970

 

Well, can't blame anyone but the Wings for missing the playoffs again. Maybe next year. I'd like to see them resign Kane but I don't think it'll happen. More important to resign Seider and Raymond.
