MRI scheduled for the 24th, and follow up appointment for the 26th.

Can't wait to get to the bottom of this shit.

 

Good morning all. Day off today....been up since 4:01 for some reason. Par for the course really.

Anyway, looks like the weather should cooperate. Decked system and solar panel install are top of the docket.

The dog also needs a bath big time; really hoping the weather is kind...this is so much easier to do outside with soap and a garden hose as opposed to in the apartment.

I have this t-shirt and it is hands down my wife's least favorite shirt of mine. Needless to say then it is one of my favorites.

 

I’ve just been approved for steroid injections in my cervical spine . I will be calling pain management today . Had the MRI a few weeks ago. Stenosis and multiple bone spurs . My neck and shoulders are in pain everyday.

Morning everyone.

Happy hump day.

Shitty fucking day yesterday. Had to put our 15 year old Yorkie down. Could barely walk, was blind and deaf, and yesterday all he was doing was laying on the same side, not eating, and breathing very very slowly. Kids are devastated.

And tot op it off, I lost my fucking wallet.

Fuck me.

 

Friend had this done in February. That's a titanium mesh sleeve. Done on a Monday, picked him up Wednesday morning, we went out that night for dinner, two mile walk on Thursday.

Cured all his issues

 

Well.. Wallet is found.

Cop just pulled up to my driveway, and had it. Looks like it got run over, and all that's missing is my atm card which I'm going to replace right now.

Asked me where I lost it, and I was telling him where I thought and he said it didn't matter now because someone turned it in to the police station.

Holy Shit.

 

Something we did last year when we lost our 15 year old pug was on Facebook we posted a photo of him every day for 60 days. Now on his anniversary we get to see fun reminders of his stupid face for 2 months which helps us.

The bush I planted over where I buried my gecko last year is blooming. This was a nice surprise to come home to. He lives again! <3

 

I love that!

This weekend, when things "calm down" a bit, we're going to go and decorate where we buried him. We're going to find some rocks, mark the area, maybe some flowers, things like that. He's next to my shed. We'll see him every day. Just this morning, when I ran out to run an errand I said bye and hi to him.

 

I definitely shed some tears and say "Hi Steve!" every time I mow the lawn and ride the tractor by his bush. It's nice to know he is still around.

The dog we had cremated and on his anniversary weekend we took his urn with us to Vermont and made sure to cheers him every time we poured a drink. It made it fun and less sad.

 

When that time comes, that will with out a doubt be the worst fucking day of my life.

They really do become a part of the family, a valuable one too. I cried like a little bitch.

We had someone come to the house to do it because we felt it would be more comfortable for the kids. When I called the vet, I could barely talk on the phone without my voice cracking and without crying.

He was in my arms when the vet gave him the meds... It's pretty fucking sad and depressing to see it happen and go down like that. All I could get myself to do was constantly pet him, hold him tight, and just look at him with tears running down me face. My wife was distraught, my youngest was just as bad, and my oldest just kept trying to comfort his little sister.

Definitely a fucking miserable day. It's been a shitty spring break for the wife and kids to say the least.

 

Damn....got me over here cutting onions.

but the suffering is gone and hes in a better place. def a fan of the vet coming to you, feels more comfortable and stress free for the animal.

 

Yeah, I definitely think we did the right thing by having the vet come to the house.

It was someone recommended by one the Mrs's best friends, and the lady was super duper nice. Couldn't have asked for someone better, seriously.

And yes, with everything that he had been going through lately he's definitely in a better place.

We'll always have the memories, good and bad, but that is what being a part of the family is all about. He'll always be with us, no matter what.

 

Decent day today....







First impressions are very nice. The drawer is butter. This thing is solid and once its all put together feels and looks like it was actually thought out and not just a bunch of cookie cutter pieces stamped out and bolted together. Some of the instructions were a bit silly and I can do with out the gimmicky stuff but its part of who they are - a me issue not a them as a company issue. I also really like the fact that it came with storage boxes and plenty of space for gear. ...

Now.....to pack and organize....
