On the same subject. When I do start looking for a job I'll be looking at 40 hours a week instead of 60 hours and home time. Last job start time 06:00 till done, some days 14 hours work and 40 minutes home you can see the math.
Good thoughts on your decision and only hope you the best.

Going to see how good I am at burning a stump out today, rebuild lift cylinder on B7100. Wish me luck on both.

You've gotten plenty of good input from everyone else, so there's little left to add. It's a great problem/opportunity to have.

What does the wife think? Have you told her yet? If I was still a kid, extra dad time would outweigh everything. Time and attention is the most valuable thing you have to give.

She was at small group and found out when they did :anonymous:

She supports me either way, she tells me the truth as well, not what I want to always hear though.

My kids are like everyone else's kids, all they want is time and love :D

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet is "fit". Being happy at work is usually about the fit.
Is it the right kind of work for you? Enough variety, a balance of challenge and chill to keep stress and boredom at a good level? Is there opportunity for advancement or cross training if you want it? What is the company and staff culture like (super important)? How many people do you interact with? Is that a good number for you? There are probably a million more questions, but you get the idea. The interview works two ways, and the success for both parties depends on the "fit" for both parties.

Pray for doors to open and close as necessary. :)

The cylinder rebuild not so good. Messed up the seal dust wiper bent putting in:annoyed:. Tried to rush always my downfall. Messicks ordered second kit. Now waiting for that to come. Finished replacing all orings so shouldn't take too long one I take my time with the dust wiper.
