Hm. My ABS actually worked quite well on the street. Haven’t used it in a long time. It worked well enough for me to want to keep it thru the LS swap.

I would be very suprised if you blow a front. Too many other things break first.

my smaller 7.5 clamshell is still in perfect shape after probably 5years with RCVs.

I do break jack shafts from the diff to passenger cv but they are only a couple hours to swap, just don’t drive with a broken one and CVs connected because that trashed all my arb seals with the metal chunks

I hope you’re right. I feel like the front end of my truck is so overly reinforced in so many areas, I think the next thing would be the diff. Granted I’m in 2WD most of the time so maybe the front isn’t really that much of a concern.

At most carry a spare set of CVs if you land under power in 4wd going fast, but if the limit straps are setup before any bind I would be suprised if you really have many problems. You on rcvs or stock joints with extended bars?

I think @Buttskevin21 even broke a few rcvs before having any diff issues with a 8” clamshell

They’re the complete axle assemblies from BTF. I should carry a spare but haven’t bought one yet. I’m bumped and strapped before any bind anywhere, so should be okay there.

It’s still stock width, so you’d need to run spacers still. Have you considered running a 1st gen tundra axle housing? It takes the same non elocker diff and if you truss it, you’ll probably come out ahead of the trail gear option

Or 3rd gen elocker 8.8 but that still leaves you at stock width also

    Yeah
    15
    But
    Full Camburg housing
    Linked
3.5 housing with 35 spline 300m heat treated/cryo axels with Camburg hubs
Dual willwood calipers already tabbed for foot and turn brakes
And fully built gear works diff with trutrac 5.29

I blew a Pinion Bearing on my clamshell..most likely secondary failure when I sheared an Extended Halfshaft.

lol. I’ve seen them at a couple of OC yota events and that was my first thought. Then to add to that. Here they are set up at a vendor tent with some of their product I’m looking at it and no one even asked me if they could help me with anything or if I’m interested in anything. They just sat there bullshitting amongst themselves.

My buddy Tim and I think you have met him on one of our runs you did with us a few years ago had them install their 1st version 4Runner Cantiliever Kit. Has been a total nightmare for him. The first time they called and said its ready he didn't make it past 3 blocks from the shop. The Second time, same thing. It's an ongoing thing right now

Not sure what y'all were expecting, it's right in the name.

They're not called "Well Designed and Executed Creations".
