Interesting. I’ll have to check. I was thinking about just buying the flush mount brackets for the ss2 and putting them in my bumper

I have m SSc2's in my rear bumper. The scatter across the ground gives a nice ground cover for setting up a camp if arriving late. Unfortunately no late night shots of the area they cover. I bought them to illuminate a work area when I need to do a late night check on a drill rig in the bush.

Been doing a ton of reading up on here. Planning on upgrading my factory fog lights to the
DD s3 pro ones, and getting the Diode Dynamics reverse light setup. Eventually will do a set of driving lights too,
either a bar or pods, to work with the high beams. I do most of my driving in the dark, and I have a 20 mile drive to work that takes me through hilly winding back roads with lots of deer. Can't wait!

Would this be enough light for you? All Diode Dynamics (SS5 Pro Spot pattern) with my 4Runner high beams.

Installed Diode Dynamics C1R pod in the back next to license plate, I wanted a red color rear fog light that can also be served as a chase light.
I like how DD's C1R has three modes, bright white for reverse, dim red for running light, and bright red I will be wiring into the switch panel for rear fog/chase.

I have a little comparison video of the DD SS3 pro vs the Baja Designs squadron wide cornering pattern here
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jypJRYTk0hU

Hopefully it gives you an idea of the DD's SS3 pro look like in a real world setting.
    Cheers!

Additional point: The Diode Dynamics model shown here is street legal. The Baja Designs model shown here is not - for obvious reasons.

correct, BD has since come out with the SAE fog version of the squadron, but based on the comparison testing DD has done, I personally still prefer the DD as a street legal fog due to a wider beam and warmer temperature. Off the road, I prefer BD's non-SAE wide cornering for more light spill/spread.

For what it is worth, I grabbed a shot of my DD SSc2 Pro reverse lights. Someone asked the about the illumination from them.

I have my doubts those are DD SSC3 Pro. The cut off on the Pro is not that sharp.

Have you used a trailer with them? I wondered if they would spill enough light to the sides when backing? I need some additional lighting for reverse, I often am launching a small boat in some sketchy unimproved ramps (being generous with that term!) in the dark. I might need to go with higher mounted aux reverse lights though, not sure if bumper ones might be too low/obscured to see off to sides? I might be over thinking this also lol.
