Top tool tip today. Unscrew the plug on your drain pan before starting to drain oil into it. If you don't, you'll have a minor brown pants moment and have to reach into hot oil to do it.

 

@Tacoma Mike this is the proper tightness for an oil filter right? Ended up having to use a 12"strap wrench to get it off.

 

I only used my hands to put it on, I swear…
Maybe a dry install…

I have had to use two wrenches in tandem to avoid crushing the housing.

I'm also guessing it's been there awhile since it started rusting and flaking paint. But, changed the air in a couple tires (slow leakers over the winter) and changed the oil. Charged up the four year old battery I took out for the winter and she fired up with no complaints. Maybe I'll give it a bath...

 

Oh no, not a bath….I use slime in the tires. Helps keep them sealed

 

I replaced a front tire last year (what a saga that was) and if this rear one proves to be a fast leak I'm just going to put a tube in it. The tire is nearly new with plenty of tread left so I'm not going to go buy a new tire again.

 

Considering I'm home sick today, I've now discovered what my dogs do all day while I'm gone.

pump swap on the coolant system fo a V12 Natural Gas generator. Frickin' LOUD and frickin' HOT. My knees aint what they used to be.

Had hell of a time gettin' the old gasket material off. This circuit runs hot and bakes everything.

I just thought you're supposed to run the shit out of 'em til the blades are bent or dull, carb clogs, or it siezes. Then you push it to the curb where the mower fairies make them disappear and @Tacoma Mike somehow turns them into bait money.
