Cats are simple. Get a litter robot and automatic feeder and you only have to do pet maintenance things on a weekly basis. Not the same hassle as a dog
Seems like you've been chosen, don't always have a choice in these matters

Well, you haven't lived at your address long so it's fair to assume that maybe it's an outdoor cat that sometimes stays indoors as well. The fact that it tried going into your place could mean the people before you either fed it or housed it several nights at a time.

When I first moved into my last apartment, I too had a cat wanting to come inside and would always follow me coming home or leaving.

But it specifically wanted to go into my place as if it lived there.

maybe all my projects are the red flag lol... I have no time to spend with her.
She does help out a bit lol, but I've planned a lot to do and haven't been on a proper wheeling/overlanding trip in too long.

I did have a buddy who is big into racing have his fiancee break off the engagement kinda recently lol

Sorry dude, I try to limit myself to one active project at a time but I'd be probably pretty bad about it too time wise.

Was joking of course, that really sucks having something you enjoy being the reason why someone leaves you (within reason, of course)

I'd take a step back from everything, and really make a priority list for yourself whether it be time for yourself, projects, fiance, etc.

She's already voiced her opinion on the matter, now it's time for you to respond. And do so in a manner that lets her know she's being heard.

I hear you and understand your concerns, that's why I'm shifting my primary focus to packing up all your shit so you can leave

basically what happened with my buddy. they had a pretty wild time.

She knows I love tinkering and building shit, and also knows 5/10yr plan wise this is the right time to both focus on career AND do major project works on stuff.
having the double cab wrecked last year really slowed down building the race truck... which is now not done, but I'm ready to finish the rebuilt D-cab lol

now I could be extremely well regarded and build a wedge camper for a tundra, trade the 1794 for a TRD Pro and be ready for some real nice overland trip...

I’m on the other aisle of this bus, so much time with gf that projects have screeched to a halt. She’s facing a lot of challenges and that eats a lot of time, and I’m happy to help, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss the hell out of tinkering in the garage for hours and hours.

    Balance is hard.

Fliers are up at the mailboxes. Might put some up on the stop signs on the street too. Need to find her home, clearly a sweet loving cat, can't imagine she's just an outdoor cat with the way she immediately used the litter box and made herself at home.
Haha nope! I don't want to be the asshole who drops her at the pound but that's a possibility.
I've had cats before. I don't want an indoor cat, and since I'm in an apt it's a non-starter. I don't like dealing with litter, the smell, and then walking on my counters. I like their company but for right now I just want a more simple life.

My gf gets pretty sad about all the time in the garage as well. I've been trying to get her more into the camping/off roading things so that at least she sees the reasoning behind the work and gets to reap some of the benefit.
Definitely hard though.. For me its a combination of the truck, the gaming PC and work. I never have enough time in the day to do all the things I want to do, so to sit and watch TV or whatever with the gf feels like I'm missing out on other things. That's definitely a me issue not a her issue though. Got to find that balance of course..

I bet she's an indoor cat that "escaped" and just wasn't sure what way was home. Probably from another building
