    its still crazy down here. can't build houses fast enough in town. not sure who can afford them though.
    and the bulk of our clients have no end to their budget so nothing phases them. they'll just keep building their holiday houses while the rest of hte world burns.

    Prices here are crazy. Glad I did my addition when I did. No way could I afford it now!

    my neighbours sold their house for damn near 4x what they paid for it!

    i think the average starter home - slap together no frills 3 bed 2 bath on a tiny lot - is about $800k.

    It’s crazy the prices now.

    I’m pricing a job shortly, 10 years ago they got a price for roughly $350k to build…. Quick estimate from my supplier puts us closer to the 1mil mark already as a moderate-high end finish build!

    wow that’s impressive!

    i almost made it down to North Carolina last month with a few friends for a golf trip. Didn’t work out timing wise for me to escape from work for the 12 days sadly.

    Nice to see more than 1 or 2 posts in here. Housing prices are crazy in the DC burbs too. My neighbors sold last month. They lived there for just over 6 years and the price was over 100K increase. They got the price, and it sold in a week. Where are these people getting the money to afford the cost of these homes. New construction is over 800K for nothing fancy.
