The winds were so strong last night that the neighbor's bullshit blew out of his carport, across the road, into my yard.

I'm just glad this morning wasn't trash day LOL. Have woken up to the neighbors actual garbage strewn through my yard.

Except this neighbor abandoned his house 3 years ago. It's about ready for a sheriff's sale. He has garbage in his yard and carport that has blown into my yard several times. he doesn't mow his lawn, had up to 6 abandoned vehicles on his property at one time and just generally a jagoff. My wife and I even cut this small piece of his land that butts up against ours so that our lawn looks decent. I could have tossed those things instead of walking them over to his carport and he probably would have never known. I guess you an tell I'm a bit frustrated my his irresponsibility and lack of neighborly courtesy.

I guess they can't all be winners, but you really got the short end of the stick with that neighbor. Hopefully your luck changes after the sale

I would buy it myself for the acre except the house is in bad shape and the cost to tear it down is more than I can afford.

Heading to bald eagle state forest tomorrow and will be driving around the unpaved trail areas up there tomorrow a good bit.
if anyone is in the area and would enjoy heading out that way since there might be a decent chance of some mud and what not, feel free to give a shout. We will have my Off-road and my buddy’s FJ

Have fun! Seem to remember Little Poe road being pretty good offroading but super rocky. Didn't pinch a sidewall on my SL at3w's so it couldn't have been that bad

Well it is abandoned and ready for sheriff sale so why not go move that carport to your property and repaint it. LOL

yep it’s all minor stuff but can be fun mud after some rains. The old negro hollow road (forget what they renamed it) can actually be a bit of a slop challenge.

We're not that far yet. This is year 3. If I understand things, the sheriff's sale will come some time next year. Besides, he comes by every month or so to get his mail, some of which is usually spilled out onto the ground. He might notice it's missing.

He actually cut it that way a few year ago. I give him credit. He got up there with a chainsaw on a rope and cut about half of it off, including all the branches but then left what still remains. I thought he was creating some kind of phallic symbol in his yard but my wife speculates he may have been trying to get better reception for his phone, since the tower isn't very close out here. It looks totally stupid.

Oh so he moved, not quite abandoned. That's different.

He moved in with a woman in WV. about 3 years ago after his wife left. He comes by for a few minutes to pick up mail or sell some of his shit. He cut the electricity off a few years ago, his lawn hasn't been cut in over a year and he hasn't paid taxes for 3 years. You can't help but notice when the official from the county comes by and stick a neon green sign in his yard announcing it. I would say that's abandoned. If his house was dog or child, its carcass with be skeletal remains by now.

I'd off him $200 for the carport next time he's there. That is, if you could use it. They used to be $900 but I think they are closer to 1500 now

I have a large garage. I did offer 3 years ago to buy a small parcel of land that sits in in front of my house but is his. Years ago the family who owned all this property broke the farm up. They gave a small portion to the oldest son so he could park his camper. It's across the road from the house and you can see part of it in the picture I posted earlier. It has his uninspected F350 sitting on it. It's also the portion the guy who owns the property now has never cut, ever. His wife did, but not him. So we cut it because it makes our front yard look like shit. Plus, I'm worried about animals in the high grass. Anyway, offered him well over it's value and he declined. That was August of 2020 or 2021. The next Spring the county put up the notice for his unpaid taxes. What I offered him would have paid his taxes. I was unaware at the time of the offer that he didn't have $ to pay his taxes but he knew. He declined to sell a little piece so that he could pay the taxes for the while thing. That makes no sense to me.

I rescued a dual sport rider on that road a few years ago. She was almost seat deep in a big set of ruts. Couldn’t believe she was back there but she was.
